This was actually way more informative than I'm used to seeing from companies these days. Thank you. If I do end up purchasing Smart Glass it will be from this company.

It can be scratch since it is plastic based. For non-scratchable, we can offer smart glass where smart films laminated between two pieces of tempered glass.

I notice you use the word smart glass to refer only to Liquid Crystal. What about electrochromic, SPD and Photochromic? I’m seeing a lot of hints that these are growing in use but those hints seem to drag on forever with little more than more hints. Can you cover what you are really seeing in these areas to? Are we stuck with only the milky white version?

@carrieellis36013 жыл бұрын
@@SmartGlassCountry is that in both directions. Is there any option for being able to see out in one direction?
@bastienpetit51613 жыл бұрын
@@carrieellis3601 Yes, it's in both directions and there's no way to see in one direction. All it basically does is let the light pass normally when powered and stays opaque when it's not powered.
@rodschmidt8952 Жыл бұрын
As a general rule, if you want to see out but nobody can see in, in any imaginable kind of window, then you are fighting against the laws of physics. The only way to do that is to have it well-lit outside and dark inside, and use a partly silvered or partly opaque window--MAYBE there's a way to make smart film partly opaque; you'd probably need a specially designed LCD molecule, or an unusually thin film, as the commercial ones are designed to be fully opaque.

If the busbars are damaged and is in frosted state will replacing the wiring (busbars) correct the problem?
@SmartGlassCountryАй бұрын
Yes replacing the busbars should correct the problem. Sometimes the busbar simply needs to be realigned along the edge. It really depends on the specifics of the situation. Contact us if you ordered from us an require assistance.

Hello, I live in Europe and have looked at the film version that could be applied however my window size is 262cm wide and 198cm high. Unfortunately the largest they supply is 500cm x 150cm. I asked about making 2x foils on the window. Do you have experience of this and would it look crap or not?? Many thanks, Simon.

We can do width 200cm, and legs 350cm. So it is possible.

Are there any smart glass that powers off clear ?
@SmartGlassCountry Жыл бұрын
Yes- we offer smart glass and film that go clear when they are powered off, this is often referred to as reverse film or fliptint. The price is a bit higher for this technology.
@AK88. Жыл бұрын
@@SmartGlassCountry unfortunately fliptint is only 65% blockage and does not come without self adhesive, but I'm interested the glass version since that could also be used outdoors where can I find more info?

Which company produces the best product?
@SmartGlassCountry4 ай бұрын
Hello- lots of companies sell smart glass and film, very few manufacture it themselves. We suggest buying from one of the companies that manufactures it directly as you will get a better price. Our company Smart Glass Country offers the best ratio of quality to price in North America. However, if you are located overseas there may be other manufacturers who are better for you as the shipping costs can be quite high.

What the heck is wrong with you people using archaic medieval age units? The standard unit for area is called a square metre.
