Yesterday, the SML testing team wrapped up its final day of comparison testing for the crop of 2024 250 MX bikes at Fox Raceway, and we gathered at the office afterward to compare our thoughts about each of the six machines from Gas Gas, Honda, Husqvarna, Kawasaki, KTM, and Yamaha. Special thanks to Fun Bike Center, Motul, and OGIO Powersports for making our comparison test possible.

2006 was the Yellow YZ. I had one. It was the first year for KYB SSS stuff as well as the titanium shock spring. Great suspension that year ! 2007 they brought in a white option.

As a man who is 6’2 220 pounds ive been loving the stock honda suspension for how stiff it is from Honda still getting suspension built tho

The 2024 Gasgas is supposed to have forged triple clamps...albeit the are split/slit not solid like the other Aus bikes

The Yamaha HP numbers really are not that much more then the other brands. Since the bike is so loud do we think it just might sound like you are going faster?? Kinda like when you ride a 125

too many people look at peak dyno numbers. Its the torque curve and power made through the mid that make it "faster". Most people dont ride at peak rpm, is the 4-9k rpm range that makes a big difference. Also internal gearing and where it places power from gear to gear

What are you talking about, KTM always have the strongest engine & peak horsepower, Yamahas are slugs.

Well yeah KTM basically Mike’s all the Austrian bikes just got different names on them but they all got ties to KTM so KTM uses them to try this that the other and they take what’s best and put it on the KTM so that makes complete sense the other Box are just basically playing out to the market to other people that like things a little bit different

Hypothetically speaking, If You could get a Brand New 2024 250f of any brand other than Suzuki or For the Same Price Get a brand New 2024 Suzuki RMZ250 and a used RM125 say 2000-2006 both. So for the same price any new 250f Or 2 Suzuki's a 250f and a 125cc both? Because that is a reality for $10,000 you could buy a new RMZ250 and a used 125. . Or 1 of the other brand.

@@xlT4NKlx I would be Racing C class So if given the choice of one KTM 250F Or Yz250f Or and RMZ250 and a a RM125 I would take 2 and race them in different classes. However If I could just pick one bike and wasn't worried about price, I would rather have a 2024 KTM 250F

I appreciate you guys trying to save face for Suzuki, but y’all need to be real, and the truth needs to be said they are slacking behind the whole class and need to step it up if they want to be relevant I would no doubt buy a Suzuki if it had electric starter and was 10 pounds lighter

True but 99% of people's can't use these bikes to their full potential and would likely be the same speed on the Suzuki as any if the others, So a brand new Suzuki with pro circuit pipe and Silencer (which comes with it right now) and a suspension setup for your weight and ability. And still be under the price of the others. Would that be a bad way to go? Personally, my first choice this year would be KTM buy $10'299. And Rarely on sale Vs $8099 retail, and I know Suzuki's are usually on sale so say $6799 I've seen them for that last yr. I'm a C Class rider, so with that price difference, I'm leaning towards the Suzuki.

I would guess the rankings will be close to what i could gather from what was said: 1.) Yamaha, 2.) KTM, 3.) Kawasaki, 4.) Honda, 5.) Husky, 6.) GasGas.
