Hi everyone! Thank you so much for clicking on this video! Today is a very rambly and talkative video about my personal experience with the Disney College Program. If you want to hear first-hand experience on what I have been doing while working for Disney, this is the video for you!
If you are looking for a video regarding what the DCP is / commonly asked questions - that video is on the way! Be sure to subscribe and come back for that one later on :)
If you are not into rambly videos but are still interested in learning about the DCP, be sure to check out my channel for some park days & days in my life!
I also just want to say to any returning viewers, so sorry for the delay in the uploads these past few weeks! I have been super super busy with work, school, and other priorities, but I am back now! My external drive had stopped working so uploading videos was very hard for a few weeks. Thank you so much for your support!

I so very proud of you. Most young adults would have just given up. You were very courageous, to start your journey with the Bell’s pause. I’m not sure I could have done it. All alone in a new place,having to deal with everything you did. But you triumphed over it and made it an experience of a life time. You have grown so much while you have been there. Learned to be yourself,no matter what and made friends for life.

I can relate with your Bell’s palsy. I’ve never had Bell’s palsy but I have a vision impairment where my eyes twitch all the time. I completely understand how it feels to feel nervous talking to people and not wanting to feel judged

Girly I finally heard someone also sharing the struggle of getting park days in, when you're a gym and health girly. I admire all people enjoying all their free time in the parks, but my mental health heavily depends on my routine, so I always feel like I'm not making the most of my Disney experience here. Feels kind of validating to hear this from you, thank you for sharing ❤ So happy to hear that you are having a great time

Aw thank you so much for continuing to watch my videos that is so sweet. Yes, it is very easy to compare yourself to others here that do not need the routine the same way. You’ve done a great job at balancing everything, especially being so far from home! Thank you for all the kind words💗🥰

my dad had Bell's palsy, and then he wound up having a stroke in mid 2022. the doctors told him that his palsy was caused by stress.

Did you get Bells Palsy from an ear infection? That’s what happened to me, back in summer before or after ninth grade. It took the rest of the summer to recover I can’t imagine going through that while living with strangers

Hi Deb! The doctors weren’t sure what caused mine, they said possible lack of sleep or too much stress, but I do have a lot of issues with my ears so honestly I wouldn’t doubt that either. So sorry to hear you went through it, it’s a very challenging thing to experience❤️

Hey Ivy, thanks so much for your video! I'm going into the Spring semester as a DCP and will eb doing college fulltime online. I was just wondering how you managed to be on top of your classes while also working fulltime as a DCP. Is there any advice that you have concerning that? Thanks!

Hi Sam! I did college full time online for my program as well, I’m taking 15 credits. It’s definitely a lot of work and people will say it’s not possible, but as long as you are motivated you can get it done! For me, I like to balance work, school, friends and the gym. I would recommend going onto the Disney college program website and submitting a request for independent study hall! This just guarantees that the role they give you will allow for you to have 2 days off to work on your schoolwork and stay on top of things. Also, during my work I get an hour break so I will bring my school work and work on it then because that allows me to have more time before work to go to the parks and hangout with friends. It’s definitely a lot to manage but it’s completely doable! Let me know if you have any more questions :)

I’d like to ask, how do you get around your nose piercing? My daughter is in the DCP and they made her take hers out, by the time she tried to put it back in that same evening it was already closed

Hi! I bought clear retainers off of Amazon and I would just usually wear my retainer throughout the week and put my nose ring back in on my days off! It’s easier to use a stud for the time you’re at Disney because they’re easy to get in and out

Do you have to be enrolled in classes while in the dcp ?
@laurenm7929
@laurenm7929 5 ай бұрын
You need to have completed one semester of college and are taking classes there at an accredited institution or have graduated from college in the last 24 months. You don't need to take classes while you are there, many choose to take the semester off.

I might have missed it, but where were you placed, and what was the title of your role? It seems like everyone's experiences are heavily based on where they are placed.
