I understand that this trade hasn't officially gone through, but so far it has been universally accepted from multiple sources that Manny Machado will be a Los Angeles Dodger. And if he does end up not going to the Dodgers, I will make a different video on it.

If machado comes to LA and resigns then they keep him at shortstop and keep turner at third, put seager at second since utley is going to retire and forsythe sucks, put muncy at first base and put bellinger at center field, put puig and kemp into left and right. Dawson Wright don't worry, we ALL forgot that happened, too. Man, the O's REALLY should've traded EVERYONE last July, and thats not hindsight. They had all that talent last year and none of them were worrying about trade talk or contract years and everyone was pulling in the same direction and they STILL came in last place. How on Earth did they think they had a shot this year? Plus their attendance has dropped each of the last 3-4 years. And ALL the tradable players lost value since last summer. They could've traded Manny with a year & a half of control, schoop and Jones are having crap years, Britton got injured this past winter... God, the O's are a hot mess.

I feel like the reason many people say the AL teams are so much better is because of the records, but many people are overlooking the fact that the NL has many, many more competing teams. The AL potential contenders are the Astros, Yankees, Red Sox, Indians, A's, and Mariner, but the NL potential contenders are the Dodgers, D-backs, Rockies, Cubs, Brewers, Nationals, Phillies, Braves, and maybe even the Pirates and Giants for the wild card. Because of the lack of competing teams in the AL, a lot of records are blown out of proportion.

It is a good move for the O's. This trade is a catalyst that will lead to a series of other trades along the lines. It is similar to the Roy Halladay trade and the Bartolo Calon trade in 2003. Rebuilding is not always a bad thing, it just means this team won't win this year, but are planning to be a consistent contender in years to come.

Seager should be a 2b to begin with. I remember last year dodgers mentioning they would potentially move seager to 2b to avoid injuries with his arm. I think dodgers just got machado to so he can be a another thorn to Arizona and all playoff teams. And to secure the division for sure. Bellinger has been mediocre all season and turner is playing with a bad wrist. He’s not the same ..330 hitter like last year. This trade doesn’t hurt La if they can win a ws this year, don’t care how good that prospect turns out to be. If machado loves la they can re-sign him for ss and move seager to 2b. Also, La could definitely be going after Degrom or Thor at the deadline

Even with Machado, I don't agree with the destined Dodgers-Cubs NLCS prediction of yours. The NL has been very even this year, unlike the AL whom's "super teams" are getting a little beefier win totals thanks to an absolutely abysmal league beyond the top six or seven. There are still around 9 NL teams really in the mix, including 4 in the NL West with the Dodgers. While they may be a favorite, I would actually be more shocked by a Cubs-Dodgers NLCS repeat than I would by one or both teams getting bounced by another team, perhaps even before the playoffs. The Cubs have yet to shake the Brewers, and the D-Backs, Rockies, and even Giants have been hounding the Dodgers all year. While I don't see SF keeping up, the other two could stick to the end and maybe even snake the division away.

To me it makes sense, but only if Muncy continues the way he is going. A SS with a history of elbow problems at a young age isn’t good for anyone. And if everyone else in the infield stays, there is really no place to put Seager unless you move Bellinger to the outfield. So I could see this offseason Seager being moved (possibly for a DeGrom or Synderguard) since the Dodgers rotation isn’t getting any younger. That, or they trade Turner.
