@@LuisMedina-yq5fd save up to get a slightly used old one. Most of the failures in trucking is not being prepared & anticipating the costs of maintaining the newer trucks with emissions regulations. I’m currently saving to buy my first truck & its most likely gonna be a 2006 KW. Watched the whole video and you are a rare gem in this industry. I've been in this industry for over 30 years and everything you said is true. The biggest draw back truckers have when trying to succeed is their own bad habits. Continue to be a sponge and learn as much as you can, there will be no stopping you. My only advice to you is to diversify your earnings. Take some of your revenue and invest in other markets ( stocks, metals, real-estate ) in the event something happens to your health.

Pretty spot on about everything except as a company driver myself , going on 4 years now., You have to put your foot down with these companies and let them know how long you need for your home time but at the same time you have to not be lazy and hustle and work when you're on the road and try to drive for at least 9 hours a day if you are able and make sure theres a safe place to park when your're done. I personally tell my company before I'm even hired officially and given the first load that I like to stay out for about a month and go home for a week. And because I run hard and consistently and get the loads delivered timely and safely my company never bothers me bout my home time. They rarely check up on me either besides to give me load info because I have proven myself reliable and they know they don't have to micromanage me. I see a lot of these drivers out here complaining yet they are chilling in the drivers lounge all the time etc. anyways, good video, keep it up. Peace.

I made it to the end. I am impressed. Your attitude caught my eye. I am a retired 72 yr old white guy in Montana that did just what you are about to get successful at. The long hours and retched diet are what ages you. But your focus on achievement and hopefully savings are what seperates you from all others. Keep that twinkle in your eye, it will serve you well. And, my biggest advice back to you...know when enough is enough....

I’m barely getting on my mind about becoming a truck driver, my brother became one 7 years ago and owns his own truck. He’s about to get his second one and I would like to be a part of it. I’m nervous but I’m focused the pros of it and I love to travel so I’m sure it’ll be worth it 💯🙌🏻

There's definitely a lot of pro's an Cons.. I'm a driver myself.. I like an don't like this video because there's alot of things missing... but overall it's really what you make of it.. you gotta find your way too be happy in the truck... but u can also have daily local home jobs or just out a week an weekends off job an be happy but with less money, or u can bring people an be fun an take long trips, or it could be very lonely sometimes an can't be home cause u out 2 weeks with a company.. its all what u make of it.... but I do know trucking has got me out of debt and changed my life back for the better... and its way better than working in the sun... and it makes pretty dam good money. Wish u the best, maybe see u at a truck stop one day.

Great job buddy I’m proud of you. I started local trucking at the age of 35. I’m now 42 and I would love to finance my own truck and haul frack sand. The question I have the most. How do you remain eating healthy foods? In a nut shell I think that is one of the most important things while surviving in a truck. Unhealthy food will kill you sooner or later. How do you take the time to cook your food? How do you wash your dishes?

Actually it's is simple but when you see those nasty folks going to the restroom, coming out without and head straight to the buffet it would change your mind about eating in the truck stop

I just subscribed to your channel. My dad is a long time trucker since the late 70’s. My cousins have been doing this since the late 90’s and early 2000’s. I have had my stints in it but I am a diesel technician and the company l am with requires a CDL, so I do some driving. I use to roll with my dad on the road and he kept a wash pan and lots of water from home. We use to take a wash up daily by warming up some water. That’s how you stay clean out here on the road.

What I can say to that is that it is inspirational that a millennial in today’s time can say all that he said and is doing what he’s doing. You go bro! And to add to that that his father demonstrated what a father is supposed to do, so you tell your dad I said good job bro! Carry-on😗

Thank God for your dad! He definitely gave you the right insight and knowledge to get started at a young age. The reason your the youngest in the room usually is because other people your age didn't have that person to teach them. Always remember we lead by example.
