The most demonic, unfair and SAD system of benefit ever, especially for people with health issues and the elderly!! So-called 'work-coaches' phoning people EVERY MONTH/FORTNIGHT is perverse mental harassment that makes us all ill. Disgusting and deplorable joke run by clueless persons. People who are ill should be phoned/visited by a HEALTH coach every year, NOT harassed every month/fortnight to get sick notes from some doctors who even refuse to give sick notes, and then they are told to look at the job-markets when some are even too ill to go on there laptop or take a shower. I hope it goes to hell along with all their staff. The UC staff PLAY TRUANT just as much as any benefit cheats because rather than get a NORMAL job, they get paid wages for mentally harassing us on a phone leading to an increase in nervous breakdowns, suicides and people who can't support their own family. FACT; The staff are not even trained to deal with health issues! Instead they phone everyone including the vulnerable and the sick to try to get them working in the middle of a deadly pandemic when nearly every place is closed and their own government has told us all to STAY AT HOME!! The UC staff are even risking lives by telling people to use public transport when the government has given STAY AT HOME orders!!!

Here's one for you, I get 350 in housing benefit through legacy benefits, if I bought my flat and paid for it over 25 years with the saving limit of 6000 pounds as a deposit, my mortgage would cost me around 250, if they made housing benefit avalible to mortgages they would save 100 pounds, there would be a redistribution of wealth and I would be more applicable for employment as a disabled person because I would be able to take a minimum wage job that wouldn't be paying me a difference of 20 pounds a week, sometimes it's not about "scrounging the government" and more about practical and long term solutions to problems that more and more people face due to poor employment law
@RevorecRecruitmentSolutions3 жыл бұрын

@@RevorecRecruitmentSolutions well yeah, I mean if they did that then that would release millions of people into the housing market and that would drive prices up. If they did it then it would come with stipulations that would make it pointless like the help to buy ISA, looking at the stipulations might make more sense, for example, if the lifted the savings cap to say, 10k, that would mean that people could persue personal actualisation and lesser the odds of debt after redundancy, people have a habit of playing Chinese whispers, a 6k cap goes from the ability to save to savings stop you from getting benefits, so people don't develop good financial practices in there teenage years and end up penny less wether they make 18k or 40k, and with the gig economy mentality of 0 hour contracts and 3 month contracts that renew for 2 years, we need the ability to move forward financially without having to think about what our capital does to our income, I've worked for 12 years but most jobs are fixed term in my area, even though I think all and all I've been unemployed for a year of that total, banks won't touch me and my savings can't do anything that will help out of the benefits trap

This is why so many people in Canada want to fight for UBI (Universal Basic Income) that EVERYONE just gets paid. So all student, senior, disability, unemployment, and federal old age pensions can be rolled into one benefit - and it would always be there for EVERYONE each month if you filed your taxes each year. And if you make too much it would just be included in your income tax bracket as income for the year. Just the lower administration costs, putting money back into local cities and businesses, and keeping people off of various additional benefits + less healthcare costs from small studies they’ve ran would be worth it! It’s unfortunate that people sometimes just can’t get past the, “but that’s my money going to someone else for free!” No - that’s tax dollars actually being used for the public for a good, universal cause.

Not only is it inadequate in a time of major inflation which we are now in - got to be about 11% in real terms, the sanctions that are handed out for even a minor infraction like missing an appointment can be crippling and even life threatening. To a degree the dingy invaders get it better with free accommodation, food, clothing, paid for mobile, and £35 cash each week - and they don't need tolook for work. I am still on the legacy benefit system I get £74 a week and my rent covered. I am dreading when the dwp ask me to move over to uc. The part that gets me is you have to do 35 hours jobsearch a, week. I do volunteer, work so I know the time spent on vol work is included up to 50%. Yet even if you do 35 hours a week after 2 days you just come across the same roles. Any chance you can do a video on the pointlessness of the 35 hour a, week jobsearch. Due to covid 19 the, amount of people on uc has shot up like crazy but the gov have given people on uc a extra £20 a week during covid until March next year and I dunno about other people's but my council have said I don't have to pay council tax for rest of tax year

Could you help me, please.I've got UK settled status. I have been receiving universal credit since this May and I had to leave the UK in June. I am still out of the country. Will I be fined? What shall I do? I am planning to come back in September.
@RevorecRecruitmentSolutions4 жыл бұрын
You wont be fined but youll need to pay back anything you were paid but not eligible for. You are meant to update the journal with these details. But not everyone does for brief trips away so use your discretion.

If people cannot budget properly, how is that the government's fault? It is common sense.

Whilst I agree that common sense should be used, I think a parent who's struggling to provide for their families will not feel as accepting of that solution with the minimal financial help in place.

I'm on universal credit and I get paid £316 a month and I don't drink smoke or take drugs and I am very careful with my money and I don't gamble either and it still doesn't last me a month the government gets the blame because they knew this would happen it's ok for them on over 60 to 100,00 a year wages isn't it that's what I'm trying to say that is common sense
@RevorecRecruitmentSolutions4 жыл бұрын
@@jackwatsonepic626 I agree that the amount isnt nearly enough as this is a key component of the video, but most MPs dont earn what you imply. The standard salary for an MP is just over 60k per year. And whilst that's a good salary, it's not enough to live a life of luxury living in london if you live alone. Most MP's, whilst not poor, they're not exactly rolling in money either despite being responsible for running the country. To be honest Id be happier if they justified a top salary by doing a good job, than not addressing UC issues as outlined here. Thats the problem part.
