Sickick is a very unique artist in the music industry. The category loms is currently occupying is a niche segment and fans would pay a premium for songs because it's a unique genre. It's a different type of feeling when listening to his solo music, when you're waved! Avenue- will always hit home, forcing you down those nostalgic, reminiscent and freedom lanes!

I think it seems complicated. I’m a fan of him so of course I get why people think Sunny is a hater for saying his new name as an artist, but I also get why he would feel hurt by what he perceives as him distancing himself from not only their group but from Indian culture & music. When I first read his reasoning for wearing the mask, I knew right away the story about “social anxiety” was much more likely to be “I will do better in the North American music industry if I don’t show my brown face”. I don’t blame him, at all, because it’s true. Especially given his sexual lyrics & sensual vibe in tons of his songs, Americans have a huge stigma against Asian men, south Asian men included. He wants a fair chance at succeeding as an artist without those discriminatory attitudes of the musical market holding him back. But, I also get Sunny feeling pained if he really believes he’s betraying his culture. So yeah, I don’t know their personal details, but it sounds to me like they both have understandable perspectives.

Sickick used a verse from “slip n fall” in one of his newer song “the one.” I got goosebumps hearing him throw back to one of his older songs. It doesn’t sound like he’s trying to “separate” from his past, but reinvented himself in separate genre that suits him.

He actually reached out with his label to indeed remove the songs, most likely not because he is singing in it, but because it has his face all over it. Because his "new" identity is Sickick, he wants to be the man behind a mask. Which is understandable, fame gives you nothing but problems.

He is doing way better on his own he made a smart decision where he can be free and fully express himself through his incredible talent of music. I get why he doesn’t they don’t want his name attached to lomaticc cause he’s completely different now. I grew up listening to culture shock so it has a special place in my heart. It can also confuse his audience desi people know of culture shock and lomaticc everyone else knows him as sickick.That can actually effect his current brand and who he is now.
