I agree with this comment. A guy I have been working with for a year went home after work a couple weeks ago and had a heart attack and died. Thats it. The next day at work somebody tells you and then you never see that guy again. I did not know him super well but I did see him and talk to him every day. Also, manager lady, morning meeting, she's transferring, she's leaving tomorrow, see ya. That unfortunately really is life.

honestly Furio picked the best moment to go back home. the DeMeio family started to crash and burn in seasons 5 and 6. maybe Furio could have prevented some of the problems but idk, i'd hate to see Furio get whacked by NY. but Furio is such a badass who knows maybe there could be a scene where he takes out like 3 or 4 hitmen who are sent after him or something. and i always thought it was funny Tony trying to act like the big man saying he was people looking for Furio and he's a dead men. no way. Furio is well respected in the Italian family and no way would they kill him for Tony Soprano.

Furio was a great character, and it was a shame to see him go, but the way they worked that into the plot re: Carmela, was great. You could really feel for them, the chance at happiness basically lost for both of them. In some other universe, maybe, but the Sopranos show was more often about crushing dreams than fulfilling them.

Federico is also an incredibly talent painter, and a true gentleman. I met him a couple of times some years ago and was blown away by his artistic talent and how nice he is, with such a great sense of humor.

not that I’d change a thing about the finale if given the opportunity, but I always thought it would have been a perfect conclusion for furio’s arc if he were the one to have come out of that diner bathroom just before the fade to black. furio is one of those characters where I’d feel pure joy every time he was on screen, and he really deserved a better conclusion to his arc. also, federico is a damn fine painter. great admirer of his work!

Nothing but respect for Vince Curatola and the incredible job he did as Johnny Sack, but Frank Vincent really knocked it out of the park as Uncle Philly. I remember when they first brought him in and I was like "wow..........this typecast guy?", but he did such an amazing job it was legendary. Buon Anima Frank Vincent.

Furio (along with Phil Leotardo) felt like the most authentic mobster in Sopranos. Even the ponytail suited perfectly to his Italian style and gave a nice contrast to a more conservative look of the American mob (who seems to be more conservative in many ways than the original Sicilian and Italian mafia who are even more violent and crazier)

Young Italian American kids today missed out on the days of the "Siciliano Club" "Calabria Club" "Ciociaro Club" etc.. Our family was members of The Calabria Club. Weekend summer picnics in the back soccer field, watching all the oldtimers play Bocce Ball while listening to Gianni Morandi & Toto Cutugno. Us little kids fighting over who's Zio or Nonno "was the boss" of the Club lol. Those were the best days!

What I always remember from the TV says is that finale advertisment they said something like "will something happen to fuiro or will cameilla run away with him" and showed cameilla and furio drinking champagne in a sunset from a place that looked like Italy. So I thought it was certain they were eloping because they had already shot it! But they must have done that to throw viewers off. Something that doesn't get captured in the streaming days
