Hmm. I agree but if you’re perfect for a role vs a bro of an employee who on paper isn’t as right for the role…I ponder who would be the best offer for a role. Etc. I love a person I met a few times who’s eager but knows nothing of SQL and some experience of data reporting. Vs a new hire who has demonstrated experience with everything the role requires and more to bring new ways of possible automation, etc. As a manager who would you choose? I’m talking at least Sr Analyst so it’s not a fresh out of the crib role.
