There is no good or bad time in starting pilot training. If you are fit and fine just go for it. Training at the earliest is the best option as the cost keeps on increasing all time. Even after joining in flying at the time of flying start the cost will be something and the time when you finish the cost will be something. This is true in almost all flying schools. Although they will tell you there won’t be any price hike during your training. Joining a cadet pilot program is always safer option and one biggest factor is the budget. In that way conventional pathway is cheaper but lesser job guarantee. So it’s ultimately up to you when to start and in which program to join. But it’s always better even before starting to dream about becoming pilots is to get the class 2 and class 1 medicals cleared and get the CN as well.

Hell nah mate it’s too risky if u want commercial job;u got connections in corporate flying or want to be instructor / CFI u can go ahead. Most of the commercial airlines hire newbies pilot with an age limit to 31-32 can be exception but they’ll avoid. If one has defence background they have age limit till 45 mostly. Also some airlines might have higher age limit then 32 mentioned at the time of application but by the end of screening process they will always prioritise the one under 32 for ab initio, won’t suggest steeping in industry with such a steep line.

@@prashunchakraborty bruh the thing is in India we don’t have that 1500 hr system like US where it makes sense to gain more hours it’s more like necessity over there then only one can apply but in India there’s not such thing. Main point is a CFI is on small jets like Cessna piper diamond while companies want experience of airbus boeing or atr then only u r a asset to them, they don’t give a thing how many hours u had a Cessna or others coz at the end of the day they want schedule operator hours. U might have noticed 200/500 hrs on schedule operator as a condition for employment of first officer by various airlines these hours can’t be attend as a instructor or even as a corporate pilot, the hours which corporate pilots attains are by non schedule operator and commercial demands schedule operator hours. Being a CFI then getting a job has nothing to do with one experience they also get same post as one who’s not a FI/CFI. People tend to be CFI coz they r getting paid during the time line airlines don’t have vacancies. Moreover they have age + also being young blood in 20s, they don’t have any px of that 35s age limit or they just aim to be a CFI of flying school.

Bro, it doesn’t matter if you are going through conventional or a cad program in Canada. You are going to be at the hardship early and in conventional you can be chill for one or two years, but end of the day you are going to be induced in an airline, which, presents highest standard for anyone who are coming into the airline, and you have to be disciplined not even to get into the airline, but also once you are into the airline and living your aviation journey, they are not going to pay you and expect you to deliver any less
