Jamie Laing is a British television personality, and entrepreneur. He is perhaps best known for his appearances on the reality TV show "Made in Chelsea". He is also the founder of Candy Kittens and host of several podcasts in the UK.
In todays episode we cover:
- Jamie's Childhood & Boarding School Experiences
- Attachment Styles
- Taboo Around Men's Mental Health
- The Power Of Therapy
- The Reality Behind Made In Chelsea
- How He Manifested His Dream Company
- Why Failure Is Inevitable & so much more!
This episode is very different from the other podcasts that I have recorded but its also one of the most entertaining ones that I've had so I hope you all enjoy it too!

I remember as a kid telling my mum the teacher picked on me ,OMG she went mad ,up the school the next day dragging the teacher down the corridor to the heads office , my mum always told her 9 kids you can talk to me about anything which we felt comfortable about ,make sure you have that bond with your kids so they can talk to you about anything , by the way I'm 66yrs old now and miss my mum so much ....great podcast

I have de-personalisation always when I am in a depressive episode, it's like you look through glass and can't touch or reach anyone else, as if you are in a different world and you look from the outside into the world, when the stress or depression goes, it just disappears

Wow, I love this. I have a Drama and Sociology degree. I have ADHD. My parents divorced when I was 11 and my mum passed when I was 15. I saw Jamie on Made in Chelsea. I didn't know any of this. But I think I saw beyond and he was my favourite. I knew there was more to him.

This was a great conversation and I’m grateful for the vulnerability you both showed when talking about attachment styles, and everything else! I would love to hear a part two with more of the business journey Jaime has been on. I think what he has achieved is inspirational and I’m grateful for him keeping it real regarding profit in Candy Kittens. The entrepreneur journey isn’t always an easy one and it’s important for people to acknowledge that and not just share the wins or distort things to create an image. So thank you to you both for the great episode 🙏

Didn't know much or particularly like jamie if I'm honest. I just assumed he is a rich kid who made it as he was lucky until i saw him on strictly and then listened to his podcast. He is so aware of his privileges and so funny and down to earth. Love him and Sophie and loved this interview ❤ thanks x

Be true to you no matter what, regardless of what people will say/think/opinions. Our job is not to conform but to embody our individuality. Be who you are unapologetically. It will set you free. And then the right people and opportunities will gravitate towards you. Much love and warm wishes. 🥰 🙏 ❤ 🤗 ✌🌟 💎 💞 💫

We had friends who went to St.Paul’s in London. They all hated it, they just wanted to be with their Mummy. The youngest one went off at 5 years old and sobbed every other weekend when they left after a visit. My partner went to boarding school and felt abandoned by his Mother. He’d fly with the staff of the airline to Dubai twice a year and would go back to London whilst all his siblings would stay. Half- terms, a friends family would take him home to their farm, not every holiday. He would stay at the school 🥹. I couldn’t send my children away.

It’s because of the whole sweep it under the carpet side of society with things that society deems too emotional or embarrassing etc. Since me too we have been breaking cycles and doors down to talk more about all of this stuff and exposing it. But unfortunately in our era’s of childhoods being brought up primarily by boomers they had the whole hush it up sweep it up don’t embarrass the family keep it locked down forced on them by their parents. My mum can’t easily give affection because of it, so what’s weird is I have the most cuddly loving partner and I happily give affection to anyone but yet my brother will mirror my mum. I definitely fall into anxious mixed with a little avoidance but my brother and mum are full on avoidant. Love this pod very insightful ❤

Their parents went through a war where secrecy and stoic behaviour due to many loses of life. Most code breakers were sworn to secrecy and all names deleted. The war made them have to hold their emotions. Else you would fall apart. 💣 dropping on their houses towns cities. Body parts miles apart. Trauma they tried not to pass onto their kids. The horror of war they only said "you don't know your born. Subtle

I love made In Chelsea, more so now than ever. I watched an episode the other night of everyone in Bali and I went through the comments after and someone said why would anyone want to take advice from old nen that have no place on the show (Ollie and Garth) I was so mad because they are the nicest guys they give great advice and they are younger than me, I felt anger there but it obvs came from a child’s perspective so I had to calm down because that really annoyed me. I absolutely love Ollie and always have. Years ago Jamie was always getting in trouble on the show he was very entertaining but a brat lol
