I upgraded from a 10.5 pro. I use it for entertainment and it makes a really big difference for watching movies and video. Portability-wise I don’t find much difference with the 10.5, as the only time I found the iPad comfortable enough to carry everywhere was when I had the mini 3. The 10.5 I still found it too big to carry if not really necessary and not big enough for other things, so for me it’s big or mini. The only thing I’m not as comfortable with the 12.9 is book reading, but as I prefer physical books and anyway still have the old 10.5 and a kindle, It’s no big deal/

I purchased the ipad pro 12.9 with the idea of using it for college and content creation. But the lack of desktop apps like adobe creative cloud and an addition of logitech combo case made its price near to the new MacBook pro M1 which doesn't justify the lack of apps

I Opted out for the 11 inch. I've had 2 previous generations of the 12.9 cellular ipad pro and I'm confident I will not need the same at this time, I never used cellular feature, and they were too large for portability for my preference. I couldn't tell the difference in screen resolution between the 11 and 12.9 as they were side by side on display so i thought to myself what the heck! The 256 wifi 11 inch is perfectly priced for me, as it was on sale. Also, I have the 16 inch M1 MacBook pro which satisfies my needs for a larger screen and superb resolution with the XDR technology and processing power galore. Plus I can screen mirror the ipad into the macbook and it looks like a 15 inch XDR ipad display. I'm happy!!!

I have the 12.9 M1 iPad and use it for work when on the go. I leave my MacBook at home now. For fun I use it to make animation videos. The export times are much better than my older non pro ipad. So they was a big reason to upgrade. Also the screen size. I did install beta version on my MacBook and ipad to test out universal control and it’s the best. Being able to jump from my Mac to iPad is much better than having side car. You can use the iPad apps will still using Mac OS. I don’t think I’ll ever switch back to windows now.

I purchased the 11 inch as I travel quite a bit for work. I’m really happy as I use it for work and play. I do wonder if the 12.9 would have been better as I use sidecar for that second monitor and while the 11 inch screen is okay, I would prefer a larger 2nd display.

A bit too big for my liking, and while I was absolutely in love with the display, I really had to ask myself if I wanted to sacrifice the seemingly perfect size of the 11-inch for the overall bigger and better screen. The answer was surprisingly no, despite my appreciation for OLED and MLED displays

Just got an 11” M1 iPad Pro for school and I have no regrets. I was an Apple Pencil skeptic but it is definitely worth it. My backpack is so much lighter and doing schoolwork is super convenient. Only thing is that I would have preferred Touch ID tbh

The biggest thing I keep coming back to with wanting to get this tablet when I have the 11” model 4th gen?(whatever the newest one was before the M1 chip) I have no complaints at all about hardware in terms of ability to do anything. I like the size the 12.9 seemed just too big, however the mini led….. the fact that the brightness can get that much better… I sit outside in my rocking chair and just enjoy the day while watching Netflix or something. The screen brightness just too often is not enough and requires shade to be visible. I’m willing to pay the couple hundred more for that, since it is my actual only complaint, I’d see keeping the tablet for at least four years. So that 2-3 hundred more seems worth it to me.

Great video, I love my M1 iPad Pro 12.9, but the software is really holding the iPad back from being a powerhouse of a tablet. I understand they don't want to cannabalize macbook sales, but they could have added more laptop features. I also can't justify spending $350 on a keyboard that is not friendly to use with the apple pencil.

Magic Keybaord refresh is all I’m wanting; I use an Air 4 with a Logitech Combo Touch and although I like the functionality it offers over the Magic Keyboard, I’ve unfortunately had way too many bugs using it over the last year and a half from trackpad jumps or non-registering keys all together. Selling my Air 4 for a loss to for an M1 12.9 with a Magic Keyboard is tempting but I really feel the next gen Magic Keyboard is coming sooner than later. Also, having the camera centered for horizontal use on the next gen Pro would also be a welcome addition.

The 12.9 is outstanding for music practice. :) Also, I use mine for photo editing and uploading, and it's absolutely wonderful for that - makes me look like a better photographer than I am. :) I'll probably be using it for preliminary video edits before airdropping to the mini for final edits in Final Cut. The iPad is very handy for that because I can edit anywhere, lying on couch, etc.

Also, I really like the Face ID over touch. but, it could be cool with Touch ID on a new magic keyboard (for the iPad). If you have had the 12,9 with the Xdr display, then it's difficult to go "down" to the Air.

You can easily do that on the entry-level iPad 9, or pretty much any recent S series tablet from Samsung. Apple - in general - has better long-term support. Hope that helps.

The problem for me is that i can’t extend the display of ipad pro. Whenever you connect it to monitor, you will always get a black border & just mirroring function. Indeed I can use Shiftscreen but still the apps have limitation. To do office work I have to use web version on the apps & I can’t project another apps to the extended monitor from the ipad while using shifscreen. Even I do own a MBP but sometimes when I just left my MBP at office trying to work at home or left the MBP at home while on holiday & somethings come up for me at work that I need to solve immediately,it becomes a Cons for me that for this ipad pro I can’t work in a bigger screen.

So, $999.99 for the base model. $350 for the Magic whatever thingy. Other than the cameras, who uses cameras on a giant tablet, and maybe a tad more portability, wouldn't a better play here is to get a MacBook pro? More of a selection in specs more graphics cores in the higher end models. If you are already looking at a $1300 tablet rig, spend the extra and get a MacBook Pro.

Plz sir, make a full in depth comparison video between Samsung galaxy tab S8 plus or ultra VS ipad pro 11/12.9 inch, plz sir, its my humble request to make a proper & genuine honest video on this topic as early as possible 🙂

It seems a bit bulky and heavy. Also the apps can't take advantage of the extra memory. Also no ability to increase storage except by thunderbolt. Not as performance functional like a Samsung Tab. However, the graphics seem to be steller and if you are a video graphic content creator this probably is the better device
