I prefer UK pressings followed by Germany then the US. UK pressings seems to have a softer but more pronounced bass compared to US pressings. I'm a spinner from the 80's so i listen to a lot of original 12" from the 80's. Thanks for sharing your passion and for preserving the analog signals.

You lost me at saying Japan vinyl is the best--maybe their vinyl compounds are good, but they master records too flat--not enough bass and sometimes the mid-range is too pronounced.

Two condition to locate the best vinyl ,first is the year of manufacturing ,the older the better ,the second is Japan is on the top of the food chain .Those who found the Japanese vinyl lack of bass cos you pick the wrong year! we found that even a 1974 remasted LP of the Harry balefonte still better than the 1959 us first pressing! But a 1980s Japan remaster will be worse than a 1960s or 70s us or UK pressing for sure, the gap is too wide ,the source had been changed !
