I find myself doing this. I grew up trying to speaking in a higher pitch so people could hear me. And at some point i started code switching because people have alway mocked my voice, so i stopped talking a much. And now switch without thinking. But i was told I have a valley girl accent in my adult teen following preteen when i started watching disney. But I think I talk like a gay man imo. They also said I always sounded scared 😭😭 Now I'm trying to get back to my normal voice and speech but everyone says I sound like I'm foreign or Caribbean. 😩 Literally got in a yelling match cause some guy kept asking me what country am I from. I attribute it to being around foreigners all the time. As well as if you switch up the pitch and speak more relaxed, slang and change some vowel sounds, valley girl becomes Caribbean

I don't think that's weird. I thought it was well known that celebrities have public-facing personas and their personal life personas. E.g., I personally behave differently and speak differently among various groups of people. It's just inherent to normal socializing.

honestly is because of wicked. She's using a very similar placement as the one Kristin Chenoweth uses when talking. And as she herself said she's trained her voice tor interpret Glinda in the most accurate way, and since she's doing this for over a year now is normal. An yea, it's also because she's trying to preserve her voice since she's doing a lot of speaking in that program and probable has something else in her schedule. The placement she uses for Glinda is actually way healthier since it uses a lot of twang, which generates more resonance without using too much of the vocals chords. I myself as a singer tend to correct my placement in the middle of sentences when I realize I'm generating damage to my voice when talking or laughing.
