My sister @donna brivett, I'm afraid there's absolutely NOTHING prophetic in Adventist doctrine and teachings though they teach that EGW was a prophetess!!! It is quite mind-boggling and sad, but let's here from the adventists themselves... Certainly from my interactions with friends in this movement, they certainly do not understand what present day truth is. To your point, yes, present day truth is indeed PROPHECY and as a term refers to hearing and recognising your day and its message. Something like what Daniel did in Babylon when he recognized that there were two years left to the completion of the 70 years of foreign exile and he then turned to seek the face of the LORD. He recognized his day and the message and means of escape for himself and indeed his people. Hope that helps?

@@doloresndhlovu Thanks, I wish I could agree. However, the 3 Angels of Revelation 14 aren't they heavenly angels? If so, who are their EARTHLY representatives because angels CANNOT preach the gospel but human beings. (To add some colour on my question, In the Greek language the word Angel can also refer to an earthly messenger. In fact verse 1 says the book was signified by an angel Revelation 1:1 KJV The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John. This angel is then confirmed to be a PROPHET, hence the book of Revelation was brought by or through a PROPHET, whom John on two occasions tried to bow to worship, he was convinced it was Christ (Revelation 19: 10, Revelation 22:9 KJV Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of this book: worship God.) With this understanding therefore, we see that heavenly Angels (Revelation 14) which never sinned would not understand or comprehend such deep attributes of God like mercy, forgiveness, love etc to be able to preach on them, because they have never felt those having not sinned and then redeemed. Its only an earthly angel or messenger or Prophet, who can do that. Hope that now makes a bit more sense .. Righteousness by faith, yes I agree, but it cannot be on anything that we ourselves would have achieved through our own strength. So this would clash with the Adventist teaching of sabbath keeping as being the seal of God and a separator between true and false worship. We do not have any scriptural evidence of righteous men like Abraham, Noah, Enoch, Isaac, Israel as having kept the sabbath. Does that not concern you given that the thrust of the SDA message is that the sabbath keeping goes to the time of creation and therefore must be followed today and it is Saturday? Truth of the matter is actually we do not see any human being including Adam himself, keeping saturday as a sabbath from back then. It was only introduced to Israel but it was only a shadow of the true sabbath or rest which is in Christ who said come unto me all ye who labour and I will give you REST (sabbath). Thank you
