Basically James killed Mary cause she was sick. Also he was frastrated due to her illness and lack of intimacy hence why the monsters have legs and sexy nurses. You can also notice that James dives down holes which is reference to diving deeper into his thoughts. All characters in Silent Hill are living out their trauma. Eddie if u noticed Breathes cold air cause that is his world Cold and Empty , also views people as meat. Angela world is always hot and painful cause of her trauma. James due to his suffering created Pyramid Head as Killer for him ( also a referance to his violent deeds).

It's pretty sad because Laura was an orphan, Mary was all the parental figure she had, and she was taken from her too, this is a character who truly lost everything

For people wondering what the legged enemies are, they represent the moment when James smothered Mary with the pillow and she tried to knock him back with her legs. The enemy also doesn't make much noise because she is being smothered.

Yeah I'm not sure of this. Considering it was Mary's decision and James decided to do it for her. I guess resisting is a natural human instinct.

@@reese8050 First off, yes, resisting is natural. You can't decide to stop breathing on your own so you would try to grasp for air anyway you can. Secondly, It wasn't Mary's decision, it is explained in the "Leave" ending : You have James having a fictional conversation with his late wife. First, putting the blame on her as he is trying to cope with his actions to finally admit that he was the one who made the decision taking responsibility for what he has done. I'm not saying it wasn't what she wanted but it's implied that she didn't conciously ask him to do it. Anyway, it doesn't even matter in this situation, James is being haunted by the memory of him killing his wife, doesn't matter if he was asked or not to do it, the fact is he did it and each ending of the game expresses a potential pshychological outcome of his actions.

Please play the game again after you've finished it. The second time around, you'll see many things from a different perspective. And it’s best if you watch an analysis of the story beforehand. You’ll never get the game out of your head after that. There are also 8 different endings.
