When I was younger, I accompanied my mom to an acupuncture appointment (my and my pointy/sharp-object-phobia left the room by the time the acupuncturist showed up) at a clinic that also did chiropractic care. I unfortunately didn’t know about the chiropractor until after we’d gotten there, and I hear in the room next to us the intermittent groans of the patient getting popped. When the acupuncturist and evidently also chiropractor came into our room, he joked, “Sorry about the noise, I was just killing a guy.” On god, my poor dumb ass thought he was serious for half a second!
