I appreciate the up-close look at the watch. I was just looking at this model in white. Any shipping issues with AliExpress or issues with the watch since the review?

No problems with shipping. It takes a little longer, but it works fine. The watch is amazing so far. I would recommend it to anyone.

Tudor is an attainable brand, I would keep away from copy/ homage watches and instead save for the real thing.

As someone with experience working in the swiss watch industry, I find there is no point in buying a Tudor. They're far too expensive considering you can get better case fit and finish on a San Martin. Homage watches are the solution to a problem; that major companies borderline scam their consumers by providing subpart products at a higher price in hopes of hyping up their brand and avoiding a devaluation in the eyes of modern status-seekers.

@@PocketUau so you’ve never owned or even held a Tudor before, got it. Comparing it to a sub par Chinese brand is actually absurd, not only the finish but one of these is METAS and COSC certified, wonder which one…

So, I see both points. The heritage of Tudor is very important to some and maintaining the historical value is note worthy. However, like the response to this thread, Tudor is an expense some won't attempt for a number of reasons. There's definitely a place for both. San Martin has been receiving a lot of buzz lately with most of their Homage pieces
