Judging from this video now I understand what Tun Mahathir said that Malls in Malaysia feels like "China". It's the abundance of Chinese signs everywhere. And sadly the only sign I saw written in Malay is the exit sign "KELUAR". Local companies should not be ashamed of using the national language on its signs or as company names regardless of race and ethnic origin.

What’s wrong with Chinese restaurants using Chinese signs? The only shops you see using Chinese characters as their store names are Chinese restaurants which are non halal + foreign owned from China and Taiwan. It just so happens that there are lots of Chinese restaurants in this mall. The ones you should be going after are those serving local Malay cuisine but use English as its main language
