The Tunnel Inn Bed & Breakfast Gallitzin, PA

If you want to see a lot of trains heading up and down the Allegheny Mountains. Then the tunnel Inn B&B is for you. The tracks are right next to you. From your bedroom window to the 1st or 2nd story porch. Or just take a
very short walk to the overlook bridge. Some of the features there are 4 trackside air-conditioned guest rooms each with private Bath, WIFI and cable TV. Rooms are non-smoking and a continental breakfast is included in the room rates. There's a chiminea for the cool nights and if you want to watch the trains at night there are floodlights for great nighttime viewing at mile post 248. Also, there's the Gallitzin Museum and tunnel park and about 15 minutes from the famous horseshoe curve. BOUNS, If you ask them they might just take you in the basement to see the HO layout.

If you are slightly interested in Horseshoe Curve, Gallitzin Tunnels and train watching, do yourself a favor and stay at the Tunnel Inn for your trip. Finally got here last Spring and it was the best.

The place is very nice, the owner has put a lot into it and has made a good edition to gallitzin, too bad the town sold the lot nextdoor to someone who turned that lot into a dump, I feel really bad for the inn owner, what was the town thinking

I have been wanting to stay here for a while. My 3x Great Uncle was the first engineer through this tunnel. I recently made a video about it but your video helped me pick the right room for an upcoming stay to research the second video. I'm hoping the museum might have some of the missing pieces I'm looking for. I can't find his name listed anywhere besides old newspaper clippings and his obituary. Trying to find out if maybe he was the engineer for "The Liberty". Thanks for the video!
