There is no doubt that that is an oud, albeit electrifued, and that the electric oud is here to stay. And rightly so! I agree that it is, at the present circumstances, under-employed and under-used. How many bands that feature it can you mention? Apart from Speed Caravan (that I warmly suggest you to check out asap)), none. But I hope that will chsnge...
