In the last month since Q-school, Dillon Board & team won the Annual Gator Bowl pro-am 4 man Best ball shot final round 57; 64 on his own ball. He last week tied for 1st in an 89/2 Korn Ferry Qualifier shooting 64 along with two others. 3/2 playoff Dillon Board survived and is in the Korn Ferry event next month in Bogota Columbia.

With all the talk of “growing the game”, purse increases in the millions for PGA players, multi billion dollar investment in the tour, and recent talks of “weak fields” in your events, how about we start seeing those dollars go into actually growing the game and decrease the cost of qualifying events, increase korn ferry purses, and make more tour cards available??? Let’s see money invested where the game needs and deserves it most

Never understood why/how religious people can keep the faith, like when Board's mother raises her hands and shouts Praise the Lord! when he chipped in. Ended up doing a 12 over par round. Perhaps it's just equating faith to performance in sports I personally find ridiculous and somewhat baffling. Yeah,, if god existed, he'd probably have better things to do than assisting people putting balls in holes.

Tough opening round for Mr. Board...he came back though he stayed in class, played the next 54 in +2. Hope he makes it into the Players one day...that would be cool.

Living like poverty just not worth going to Q School. I saw the Korn Fery Tour documentary.... they were living like slaves 4 persons per 1 bed room aprtment. The conditions are horrific embarrasing to show on TV.

@GenXGolf2411 ай бұрын
Living like slaves is not how I would put it personally but with how expensive lower levels of professional golf is with lower purses it’s hard to be living lavish life styles and when you believe in yourself as much as these guys do your willing to do whatever it takes to achieve your dream

@billbkr32ify10 ай бұрын
Q school is weak. Anyone with a 3 handicap can qualify. 😅😅 joking, of course. This is one of the hardest parts in getting on the tour. Honestly, I think there should be more opportunities for players. Great players miss it for having one bad round. And others make it just to get off of it real quickly.

Compared to the DP World's Q school documentary, this was utter rubbish. It failed to capture how truly difficult it is out there on the road for these aspiring PGA golfers. The quality of this documentary video is a fitting reflection of the PGA management - useless and heartless.
