This is just the best. I listen to this any time I am extremely happy or extremely sad. It is my favorite live performance video of all time,

I cannot stop listening to this. SO much more energy than the studio release.

Agreed. He's always had mad soul, but it's kicked up a notch, in my opinion.

Music critics that say Craig Finn of the Hold Steady is rock's best front man need to watch this video. The two best indie rock front men I've seen live or Dulli and Robert Pollard. There must be something about Ohio that produces great chain smoking singers. The great thing about seeing the Whigs and GBV is you never you what crazy shit Dulli and Pollard were going to do on stage. P.S. Nothing personal against Finn. He seems like a cool guy.

Johnny, I feel what your saying, but I've always thought the man sang his heart out, and so full of soul. Dope or not! So much feeling.

Ohhh...my... Ever see something for the first time and you have to keep watching it..? I keep rewinding back to where he throws down. I agree that the soul patch has to go ( or at least trim it up) but wow...I would have popped my audience scream cherry once he fell to the floor. / rewinds again // fandom nerd girl since 6th grade

O.K., let me preface this comment by letting y'all know that I am as straight as the day is long, but when Dulli SANGS his muthaluvin' heart out towards the end, I gots me chills and goosepimples all ovah, including my skull! He's got more soul now that he's off dope. Dy'all agree?!?!

Yeah, I agree. I'm just getting into them now, and when I first heard Greg's voice, I was all like WTF-are-you-for-real, but when he's on, he's ON. And I love how his voice contrasts with Mark Lanegan's. Cannot wait for the Gutter Twins album to fucking drop already.

I love it, don't get me wrong here. It's an incredible song, but are the begining lyrics from Pink Floyd, "Shine on you crazy diamond" or something like that?
@willxmatic18 жыл бұрын
It's uncanny the resemblance Greg has to Alec Baldwin in this vid.
@Sullivan4016 жыл бұрын
The Gutter Twins sound closer to early Afghan Whigs (Congregation, Gentleman) and Screaming Trees than Dulli's and Lanegan's current solo material. Gutter Twins are more hard rock.
@JohnSmith-ul6vd10 жыл бұрын
@hal IDK your point about him being like a Nazi, or this being an afghan whigs ripoff. He wrote music for them, of course it's going to be similar, but no. two. whigs. songs. are the same. I read this is the first song he wrote after being clean. Glad people appreciate this given the likes v dislikes. He changed stealin to reelin in this performance, which I like. Glad I watched this.

@RagingHeffalump14 жыл бұрын
Fuckin' rocks, as always, Greg's so the shit, but, like Daddyslittlegirl said, the looks are gone, man, I've never quite believed how he let himself go - he always seemed so cocky and vain. Ahh, as long as he can still sing it, I'll stay creamy.

Hmmm, this is my first time hearing these guys and I really love the music but I don't like the singers voice. The music reminds me of some kind of isis / mouth of the arcitect type stuff. Good stuff overall!
@hal9000lovesdaisy18 жыл бұрын
Sorry folks; I don't get it -this adoration and exhaltation of Greg Dulli.This song more than others I have sampled is rehashed and homogenized Whigs. Dulli has become a bloviated Uber Elvis; here an almost silly characature from the third reich. The soul patch even looks like a misplaced Hitler mustache. Come on! Its good music, but its watered down Whigs. Been there! Heard that.Two chords repeated ad infinitum.
