Join me as we watch and react to The Twilight Zone's 1959 pilot episode "Where is Everybody?" This is the first time I've really done this type of video for a TV show. Kinda felt like Mystery Science Theatre 3000 in a way. I'd encourage you to watch the entire episode if you haven't done so already. Most of the Twilight Zone Episodes are free on Freevee at the moment.

As of 2024 Earl Holliman is still around at age 95!

The legendary Bernard Hermann wrote the music for this episode and recorded the score with a small orchestra at Universal(where the episode was filmed).

Rod Serling was supposedly dissatisfied with the lack of science fiction in this episode and changed the ending to where Ferris discovers the movie ticket he bought in his pocket. That would have been interesting.

Yeah, that would've been a MUCH better ending, IMO.

@@VintageNarrative Fun Fact, The Outer Limits was filmed in the very same studio where Twilight Zone was also filmed, Also, some of the props were swapped between TTZ and TOL in each of the their episodes as well as the actors.

Thank you for the feedback. I was considering having these reaction videos be more of an "entertainment" type of thing, sort of like MST3K inspired, but also making a separate podcast series in addition to these that explains the episodes in more detail. Maybe I can try explaining the story a little more in these reaction videos, I just feel like that is more of a "review" at that point? Still trying to work out the kinks.
