I checked out over a dozen snubbies (including the Colt, the Kimber, a bunch of Smith J frames, and some Rugers). The Kimber OWNED them all. Best fit and finish, best trigger....the machine work is at a whole other level. I bought the K6s, and I have no regrets. Phenomenal gun. Yes, it's expensive, but you get what you pay for.

My my CC gun is a Ruger LCR, but I've been thinking about replacing it with a slightly heavier snubby such as the Kimber.

Absolutely right. I posted my comment before I read yours. The Kimber was my choice to replace an old S&W 442.

Thanks, I have made my decision to get the kimber now. I thought it was just me...but it does seem like kimber makes the better revolver. Their mirror finish looks like the old classic colts from the 70s era.

I went with the Colt, I pick it up this week. I like hammer guns and in many many hours of practice never a snag from a hammer. I carry OWB though that might make a difference. I like 38 Special and would carry +p anyway over 357 Mag. If I want to shoot 357 I have a 6" Model 19 that is more than up to the task. Might need to snag another 19 in 4" though.....

Good video. Thank you for mentioning the trigger pull pounds. I was really wanting to know that spec.

First thing you MUST do with both is ditch the abysmal sticky rubber grips. Get classic wood grips that have way better vintage mojo AND won't grip to your clothing when attempting a fast draw.

Please notice that the Colt has sharp unfinished edges on the trigger guard. Now look at the K6S.

For CCW, I prefer a Ruger LCR any day of the week. The Colt has always been one of my favorite revolvers.

That Colt is so much bigger for the same amount of rounds and not being chambered for 357.

Nice review. I agree the Kimber edges out the Colt. For me, the finish, accuracy, and conceal ability is just a touch better in the Kimber. The Colt, however, is also a fine revolver.

Would love to see a comparison with this kimber and the colt night cobra. I own the CNC and its spurless and black.i love it but would like to see what others compare.
@renerodriguez23646 жыл бұрын
You forgot to mention the Kimber is a 357 and the colt a 38+p....you are right about the Kimber being the best choice...by a mile at that!!

Thanks great review. I decided on the kimber myself the deluxe carry version.

As much as I don't care for hammerless revolvers. I have to agree with you on this one. My feeling is that the Kimber can shoot 357 and 38. So you have a choice. Not so with the Colt. Having said that these revolvers are mainly for close up use, so a 38 +P should work OK. But the idea that you can use 2 different calibers is really important to me.

Love the colt , need the k6 lol I have a problem 😂

I would only buy a Kimber if it had a hammer. I like the single action accuracy when the need arises for a little longer shot.

stop watching Hollywood action movies.... 🙄
@silverhorder19694 жыл бұрын
@@babyblue8214 If you are saying single action doesn’t offer better accuracy, then you know absolutely nothing about shooting with a single action. I also have never seen action movie where single action was emphasized. Lol!

Spend extra on the kimber it’s worth it! You won’t regret it fellas. Just got my lg version today.

I was watching you do the pound test on trigger pull do they make a universal trigger pull that connects to your gun that you can actually fully pole with your finger from another trigger just to test the actual trigger pull
@marksill80207 жыл бұрын
You didn't mention it, but do you have to leave a cylinder open to prevent accidental firing or are both ok to run fully loaded?
@ostiariusalpha7 жыл бұрын
These are modern revolvers with transfer bar safety mechanisms, they are both completely safe to have fully loaded cylinders.
@johnnyjohnson13706 жыл бұрын
The Kimber has an internal firing pin block ,it won't fire unless the trigger is pulled,the long pull is the safety, and your brain.If u pull the trigger it fires

I forgot where i got this from i know it was probably from a different youtuber but his question was "what is the most important 6 inches on the battlefield" his answer "the 6 inches between your ears" which can be used for anything so just think and be conscious of your everyday carry and u dont have to be afraid of your gun of choice u are the safety feature

Not sure about the 2 best more like the 2 over priced snub nose revolvers...lol just because a gun cost an arm and a leg don't make it the better one, Colt dropped the ball if you ask me i see why the price is dropping in them already and Kimber maybe if they had a hammer fired version and cheaper price I'd ✔ one out until then it's not my style
@gerardopietrantoni64526 жыл бұрын
Now the Kimber has an exposed hammer version. I have an original 1964 Cobra. But the fit and finish on this new version is not as good. I would go with the exposed hammer a Kimber.
