Tim every week you make me laugh. Your humour is warped but so true. I ran as well with the other Kenilworth runners but your time was unsurprising miles better than mine. You probably didn’t see but even the lead car was surprised by the start (there didn’t appear to be a gun or horn) and got blocked in and never made it back to the front😂

As always the non running commentary was spot on today, but I genuinely sat up in appreciation for what you achieve during your race. Normally don't pay too much attention to that as you rate toilets or prattle off poetry, but my word, you are a good runner. That said, the facial hair needs another week. 😂

Did something called 'the puddle town plod half' on Sunday... Sounds benign and sweet doesn't it.... TWAS NEITHER.... Undulating!!! Had to ingest too many gels with predictable results (thank god for fields)... I was quite moody by the end and protested by refusing to sprint finish... That will show them!! There was however a decent cupcake at the end so not all was gloom 🎉

Maybe I should stick to ultras, you don't get all that once everyone's done more than 30 miles, just a mumbled well done and a knowing look of shared pain and smuggery 🎪
