The Doc makes a great point @ 11:06 and this is a feature that should have been implemented in shooting games a long time ago... sometimes you pull the grenade out in the throwing motion, but change your mind because the enemy has changed positions or your firearm is more effective in CQC - therefore you can put it away safely, just like you would in a real life scenario. The pin-pulling should require an additional input from the controller or KBM to prime (activate) the grenade.
