We could have learned this material in 5 minutes, right? Also, what stops companies from choosing averages that give the best/lowest footprints? Right? How do we know that other companies throughout your supply chain are not doing the same? Right?

How do you estimate the uncertainty of your output?

Good question! There are different ways to do this in LCA. Common practice is to do qualitative assessment of the study (robustness of the model, consistency and completeness, uncertainty etc). Next to that, a sensitivity analysis is done, where assumptions are tested to see what happens with the results if you change them. I hope this helps.
