Can't believe you mentioned the H word. Dirty word! Condolences for working there! Option 3 hope for the Brushless!? I've seen it under the VRX brand. It has the solid axle chassis. So don't know how roly poly it'll be. Outlaw Brushless any good? We know how you are with the Outlaws 😆

Haha, indeed! Oh yeah, no doubt the brushless will be another level in performance. Outlaw brushless is good fun, but a bit of a handful. Certainly the stretched Carnage platform of the nitro will handle better.

no exhaust exit hole, but im pretty sure a extender hose comes in the box as standard to direct the exhaust away and out underneath the shell

It's not bad. Maybe 20mph. Normal range for an entry-level RTR.

A noob question, would the old 20 amp esc models be able to take a 2S Lipo with a 35c discharge? Or should you stick under the rating of the esc for the discharge rate of Lipo?

Yes, it work work, it's just that the 20A ESC will be strangling the performance of the motor, a tad. Also, the motor and/or ESC might get a smidge toasty! Nah, you don't need to match the ESC and lipo like that. Most of my 2s lipos are around 25 - 40c, with a couple of exceptions, and most of my ESCs are 60a. It's all fine, so long as your ESC exceeds maybe 40a. Plenty of 2s brushless systems have a 40 or 45a rated ESC.

Mike help me out. I don’t understand the Torro/Zorro. The brushed and nitro versions are different platforms with a similar shell. I don’t get it. For example the old Carnage brushed/brushless/nitro are the same platform, albeit with some upgrades on the nitro. It makes sense. I can even understand the nitro Zorro + nitro Carnage. Similar but different body shells, and FTX added value to the newer Zorro with roll bars and so on. But the brushed Zorro is an Outlaw with different wheels and shell. I don’t dislike it on its own but I don’t understand the series. And on top of that, FTX decided to copy sone Outlaw parts in baby blue! My head hurts

Hahaha, yes FTX have the best continuity and logic! I'd guess it's because the Outlaw chassis _probably_ doesn't lend itself to being a nitro platform. There might not be sufficient space, or it might be flat-out useless. Either way, yes... the electric Zorro is an Outlaw and the nitro Zorro is a stretched Carnage NT. The baby blue is becaaaauuuse... ... goodness knows!

The nitro will be miles faster than a brushed. It should be as fast as a brushless.
