This was a such a fire storytime. Thank you for sharing all of it, I felt myself locking in and soaking up every word and name drop from the places you were at to the people you spoke/worked with. As someone who's interviewed people before but just recently started doing it consistently, I'm somewhat green overall. I went from having someone tell me I was one of their favorite interviewers to one that didn't go well to another excellent one after that. It's truly a process. The way Tyler said "I wouldn't let it bother me" was a great glimpse of how he really has always done his thing his way though. It's such a contrast for him being known for trolling to people in those days to now where everything he says in interviews leads to discourse lol.

Another lyrical rapper trying to do what ppl were doing in the 90s. Little did i know Joey Badass would help to revitalize Boom Bap Rap for a new generation. But seriously though given Tyler's thoughts on Boom Bap at the time, who really thought this was a goof idea. It felt forced too, and shout out to Sid who had to remind them he was a kid trying to make music just like them, otherwise they would have torn into him completely 😅

Naaaahhh I remember you now from MTV back in the day. I’m not going to lie I didn’t watch the video when I commented 😅. Now that I have watched it, I can say you did the best you could dealing with those degenerates 😂. Odd Future was always hard to interview back then because regardless they always made fun of the interviewer. If you tried to be cool with them, if tried to joke around with them, if you tried taking it serious. They were irreverent for sure, but more than that anti establishment. They struggled to make it at first and held a lot of grudges with publications and media especially legacy media like MTV. Regardless I’m glad Joey and the whole Pro Era make it.
