You know what I'd like to see? Take-down animations. Not like a super-damage insta-kill move, but something that happens at the end of a fight to finish it in style. Imagine two apexes going at it (say Rex VS Acro) both tearing into each other, then at the last red screen a keystroke pops up. You hit it and the Rex grabs the Acro by the throat and flips it over it's shoulder, slamming it to the ground and ending the fight. It doesn't even have to be an active user-controlled thing, it could be an automatic chance-based mechanic.
