She actually answered this on the after party for Back to the Barre if you follow that! It was within the last few episodes, although I don't remember which one off the top of my head. If I remember correctly, she said that when she stopped being so stressed about it is when it happened... or maybe that was Kelly. That was definitely talked about though (which yeah that makes sense, increased stress hormones can mess you up)

Hi Christy, it was easy to hate you with a strong passion during most of the various seasons on dance moms. I compared you to a witch, a mean, spirited person, but then I also saw you and some very tender moments not just with your daughter, but with others as well. I began to see you in a different light because you truly did have a strong point to make when it came to the treatment of your daughter versus Maddie. I just wanted to say that out of all of the girls on dance moms, to me, Chloe was beautiful to look at on stage. Her lines were gorgeous, Her facial expressions were great, but her personality sparked. She was genuinely a kind person on the inside and out. She was generous and showed passion to others, even when it was difficult. I truly believe that your daughter is going to be much better off in the long run in life, in whatever she attempts to do. She is a dynamic character. Although the other girls were nice girls, one could always see that there was more than met the eye ( character flaws). You were absolutely right in that Abby always gave the pretty little lyrical dances to Maddie and, Chloe and others were given something that was never going to win or intended to win in the first place. Also, your so-called friend Kelly, she was never a true friend to you. She craved attention, and you catered is what I saw. She was a taker, but not really a giver. She was about herself unfortunately. When you needed her, she showed you exactly who she was. When she needed you, you were there more than 100%. I know that the girls are grown up now, and I’ll bet that Chloe is sparkling. I’m proud of Chloe and you should be too. I miss you and Chloe.
