A mid-1960s Rock out knock-out! I didn't leave this one behind in the 1960s. Great memories here. Thanks, Dave Bingham, for posting this bruisin' little number!

Earlier this year I had hired a 3 piece band for our club with Robin Boers on drums and they were amazing and the whole bar stopped when Robin did a 20 minute drum solo and at 72 he didn't even break a sweat and the guys playing pool stopped playing to watch him! It was a fantastic night to remember!

Dave, Thanks for the clarification. I totally agree the 45 has the most punch; I bought each 45 as it was released. Nothin' & "Just In Case You Wonder" are two of my favorite 45s from that Toronto era. I watched you guys play them live many times! Peter

Peter - The 1/4 inch Master tape was used for all of the original YORKTOWN releases. It was the mastering for creating the stampers that was different. The album version lacked as much punch as the single. D.J.Bingham

Told the guitar player that he did a lick similar to Lonnie Mack. He agreed.

Was the master used on the black label 45 different from the LP version? Was the "multi-colored label" 45 version the same as the LP version?

Hey Dave, do you remember much about the way the recording session went down? Was it recorded all live in the same room?
@Nothin667 жыл бұрын
It's all in my book, "Noise From The North End"! & yes it was "Live" in a small room @ Hallmark Studios in Toronto. Fortunately, we had a great engineer who disregarded the V.U. meters & just let us play. The vocals were added afterwards. The mix took less than an hour.

There's a multitude of stories in there. I had to pick & choose (there were just too many), but the complete story of recording of all of our albums is in it. (lots of details....)
