The UK is providing Ukraine with the largest aid package in the history

The UK government is providing Ukraine with the largest aid package in the country's history, amounting to 500 million pounds. Antony Blinken plans to reiterate deep US concerns about China's support for Russia's defence industrial base as well as human rights abuses. The Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe recognized the Russian Orthodox Church as an instrument of Kremlin propaganda and influence.

I can't comprehend people who don't understand this simple logic.. Although helping Ukraine is a right and noble thing to do, the money and weapons we all give to Ukraine isn't a waste of money or giving it to some distant country that doesn't matter.. No, every dollar, pound and euro given to Ukraine is an investment into our own security and a down payment for the future where our own soldier's blood doesn't have to be spilled. It is so simple to understand, so I'm guessing that people that don't get it are either dumb as a post, ignorant or have alterior motives.

500 million pounds is about one hundredth of the US aid. The US has about 5 times the population of the UK, so it's very little aid. The UK government isn't spending enough on it's own military, so it's not a surprise that the UK government is giving so little to Ukraine.
