Seriously, Andante Andante is sooo good. Musically and lyrically. It is the one where I actually got a coworker to like an ABBA song. So much meaning . Has a kinda country music feel, as well. One of my favorites. Like that you know we fans will disagree. Hey, I actually got to see/hear them live on their 1 US tour - unbelievable.

Seriously, Out last summer merely 'good'? I think it's the best ABBA song ever; it has everything: melancholy, drama, humour, a haunting feel to it, fantastic vocals and harmonies, and a heavy electric guitar section. O and great hooks! It is perfect.

They put Disillusion on god tier though it's as slow as Andante Andante, if not slower. So putting Andante Andante to yikes tier because it's too slow is ludicrous. Tyler once said he loves love songs... but it seems only the ones that Agnetha sings. So they are still not old enough to appreciate this great ballad. Or they have never been in love with someone until now.

I actually don't have any meh songs on this album. I have 4 God tier and the rest good. The winner takes it all, super trouper, andante andante and our last summer are my tops. The piper is one of my least but still alright.

At the clubs back in the day, Lay All Your Love On Me and On and On and On brought everyone to the dance floor. Serious banger and the only ones that should be on the God List. Winner takes it all gets downgraded for being mercilessly overplayed.

For me, Me And I is the most musically interesting song, which clearly anticipates the 80s sound. If Lay Your Love hadn't been produced so "coldly" that Agnetha's "vocal color" remained in the background, then it would be at the top. The Winner is the best song, but Super Trouper rolls along so comfortably; I'm missing something musically, not in my ABBA top ten. I would say the same for “Last Summer” and “Andante”, but the great guitar solo (Rip L.W.) definitely saves the summer. Andante only gets the “right outfit” in Spanish. This album ST was the best for years, but for me the sound was mostly too traditional, which however brought back old fans (meaning it ambiguously) after the controversial Voulez Vous. For me, the ABBA-The Album is musically the most interesting of its time (!!!); unfortunately there is no worthy closing song. . Many younger reactors are already so "highly intelligent" that they can make a “final judgment” after a minute or just one listen. For me it was always important to evaluate the entire album: song flow and musical versality. This album ST has no skipped song (all at least Good Tier), unfortunately not a surprising beginning, but a great ending with Old Friend (like Wembley 1979), the little brother of the comeback gem Still Faith, one of three (Shut and yes That Woman). A peacefull 2024 for ALL.

Very frustrating!! The audio went out a lot. I wish you could do this over just for that reason. When you do your overall top 10, please don't compromise. You should each give your own choices. Well I haven't asked Tyler yet, but it's possible that the audio issue was due to copyright. Also, we won't be reviewing our reviews, but we will review the songs again. When we do the top 10, I'm 99% sure it will be our individual ranking.

For me there isn’t a single song that falls below the good category with the possible exception of Put On Your White Sombrero which I would put in the meh category. In god tier winner, super trouper, the piper, lay all your love on me. Great tier happy new year, our last summer, way old friends do, all the rest go into good. My mum loved Adante Adante. For me it’s a dreamy beautiful song but it’s not for everyone. Keep up the great work. You should try some abba live reactions.

It’s more it’s just Ok. Lyrics are a little cheesy. For me the synths are too heavy on the song. I would have preferred them to have used proper instruments to give the song a much more Spanish flavour, along the lines of Fernando and Chiquita. It lost its place on the original album at the last minute to Super Trouper which was a massive hit. Glad you like it, what is it you enjoy?

I get bored with 'Andante Andante' and 'The Way Old Friends Do'. Love 'Our Last Summer', ''Super Trouper' and 'Me and I". I rank this album below "ABBA", "Arrival", "The Album", 'The Visitors' and "Voulez-Vous". 'Put On Your White Sombrero' was dropped from the album and parts of it were used for the much better 'Cassandra' which was recorded 2 years later. I'm also a fan of 'The Piper'....it warns us to be wary of alluring strongmen who really are wolves in sheep skin.

I'd put Andante in the meh list. Perhaps On & On & On as well. The top 3 are Winner, Super Trouper & Happy New Year. They are the only official clips they made from the album. Some others are post clip pieces. The audio drops are copyright avoidance issues, I presume.

This is an uneven album with some great songs and some that I would put in Yikes or Meh. Basically I Agree with Tyler, but On and on and on Should be placed higher. It is supposed to be repetitive to get you in the mode.
