Almost all of it will still be relevant. Most changes Grok is making are around artifacts, belt slots, etc. So 90% of the guide will remain correct. I do plan on making an "ADHD Guide to GAMMA 0.9.3" once it is out

I can get used to the crafting, repairing, and inventory management of GAMMA, but it's the way the game scales enemy encounters that have me stumped. You could spend a lot of time grinding out quests, stashes, and scavenging for many hours to have one new weapon or armor to show for it. While the enemies scale into more higher tiers of pseudo-dogs, psi-dogs, cats, and maybe bloodsuckers, you could still be rocking your starter over-under shotgun. At this point in GAMMA, am I supposed to get a pistol along with HP/hydroshock ammo for when the over-under shotgun can't keep with it? In the base Stalker games it's always been that you carry a shotgun for the muties, AR for the humies, and the pistol is just a backup, if you ran out of ammo for the shotty and AR.

But they do scale with only your Gear? You can even tweak that in the Settings. Certain Faction will have a better Baseline Equipment then you though. Like don't try to fight the Military early one. They have Medium to Heavy Armour, as well as full heavy automatics. C/D Tier Weapons...

Ammo type is a lot more important. Shotguns are still for mutants but you can use HP or Hydrashock mainly against mutants and some Sin members. Typically I’ll have a people killing gun and a mutant killing gun & that’s it. When I carry a pistol I rarely end up using it.

The discord has a fps optimization channel, disabling core 0 from the anomaly process was a big one for me in terms of stutters. so was grass. lowered grass distance to 90 and density by like 15% from default and gained a solid 15fps avg.

i have never played Stalker 1, after i have played Stalker 2 (with some mods to try fix the game) i kinda feel i should try Stalker 1 with mods aswell.

You can but I'd recommend going in mostly vanilla. Use the bug fix kinda patches like "Zone Reclamation Project" etc

The Stalker games are great with no mods (besides fan patches/bug fixes) and that’s probably best to do first, however since you already have experience from playing Stalker 2 you could probably get away with playing something like Gamma first if that sounds more interesting to you

I think it’s on by default in GAMMA but it’s definitely somewhere in the settings. I think if you go under controls you can find the shortcut key to enable minimap

The discord has pretty clear instructions if you don’t mind text and pictures. I would be very cautious about any video install guides you find if they’re more than a few months old because the process has changed with many of the updates, the discord instructions are always up to date and exact

I always start my runs with an APS and whatever shotgun / long rifle I can grab on top of the suit, ibu and the other long term healing item, 9x18 HP works decently well against mutants, AP is.. Okay for stalkers, and you can get a kit to modernize it with a silencer at.. Sidorovich I think? Or maybe Dooti base. Cheap ammo you can buy from the start, auto so you can dump said cheap ammo, it stays relevant a while imo, 9x19 just don't feel that much powerful, and nothing looks like a small smg in .45 so..
