So not only are you guys designing a fantastic airplane for home-builders and creating your own manufacturing processes, you're taking the time to put this together, AND make fantastic youtube content! Unbelievable! Very inspiring guys!

I knew it wouldn't take long for the metric pedants to show up in the comments. Joking aside, this is a great tool, guys. You obviously put a LOT of work into it. Thanks for making it freely available! You might consider adding info on rivets in the future. Thanks!

Rivet one is already in the works!

Thank you for the the reminder not to mention metric measurement. I do apologise. I do believe that there are 3 countries still not using metric. The USA, Liberia and Myanmar. Once again my apologies. I am truly amazed by your aircraft and your machining is a joy to behold.

Good stuff. I will bookmark it for future reference. Edit: Just took a look-see on your page. Nice. I see many references to Tony Bingelis. Great! I have his book series for homebuilders.

Simply Amazing very concise makes, hardware easy to understand! I like the fact that it show both metric and standard & shows the proper washers needed very cool! Ten thumbs up 👍🏻 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇺🇸👍🏻😊✅

Brilliant. A metric version would be useful for all of us outside the United States. When you start doing kits, will all hardware be included?

Actually, I'm astonished that such a modern company with young engineers don't use metric ISO fasteners !

Can it convert the units to cubits? :-P It amazes me that the most technologically advanced civilisation in history still uses archaic illogical units of measure. Nice work though and your whole project is amazing so far.
@tuckpilot11924 жыл бұрын
Actually, I was hoping they would have an easy converter into more useful units, like furlongs or fathoms.

Hogs feet is my preferred unit of measure for both weight and distance
@tuckpilot11924 жыл бұрын
@@JosheyG34 Once the install the avionics, I hope that they create a video clearly showing how they calibrate the airspeed indicator in furlongs per fortnight. Anyone can do knots, but it takes a special kind of pilot to do their flight planning in furlongs per fortnight.

Is there a way to download the CAD models from Onshape without an account?
@DarkAeroInc2 жыл бұрын
This is a good question. I believe they may only be visible if an account isn't created. But they can be downloaded by creating an account.
@steffenkuntzel61002 жыл бұрын
@@DarkAeroInc I created an account but still no download option. Maybe I am not seeing it. Any advice?

@@steffenkuntzel6100, sorry about that. We have a link on the webpage for the tool that’s listed right under the image for the tool that states: “Click here to create a copy of the sheet in Google Drive.” If you are logged into your Google account when clicking that link, it should work.

@@DarkAeroInc I actually meant the CAD files you are providing through OnShape. Even though I have an account there I cannot download your models. I think they are protected and view only for all users that follow the link to the CAD download from the spreadsheet.

@@steffenkuntzel6100, ah, my bad. Looks like the view permissions were set to not allow for exporting. They should be good now.
