This is a simplified version of their Smart EQ 3. I think this version is geared for either super quick “good enough” work to bang something out that has 70 tracks in 30 minutes or for producers not wanting to leave the creative zone they are in. Smart EQ is much more full featured. I use it on occasion if I don’t like how my own eq choices are not allowing the track to sit the way I want in a mix. It’s a second opinion kind of thing, a starting point and can provide some ideas. Smart eq3 does have a feature where you can group things together and prioritize those groups in the mix, which is kind of cool.

It’s great for voice actors who have been trying to figure out EQ for years and are sick of having to be engineers.

Hi guys, I'm a regular viewer and a big fan of the show. I've been an engineer producer for over 40 years and I've worked with everybody from the Clash to George Martin, but I'm most well known for the work I did with a band called Roachford, I haven't used the Sonible Pure but I do use their compressors and equalisers regularly, partly because they save time and partly because if the performance is shit it really doesn't matter what you use its still gonna be a shit performance, Personally I stopped chasing sonic excellent years ago because it's a pointless exercise, We now live in an age where you actually have to try hard to make things sound bad, Hell! I've done mix with Logic stock plugin's and the client didn't even notice, so much for my collection of over 1300 plugins 😂 Bottom line is, I think this new era of AI plugins will help free up more time for us to be creative in the areas where it really matters.

Between me and you...(And everyone else here...) I also manage Kim Wilde...so I've bumped into Rochford a few times. What a talented guy....and Cuddly Toy was one of my favourite tracks of the 80s...👍

Though I don't use this Pure:EQ so much, I DO use the Pure: Comp and Limit for quick work. Particularly when "Composing" ... posh word for Farting About hoping to come up with something interesting 🙄

Like Gulfoss, which has the potential to utterly fuck things up.
