@@lisamcdonald2877 I have a VERY long bucket list and so I always have told myself that “older” is both relative and subjective…. If you had sadly died at age 40 then “middle-aged” would’ve been 20 yrs old. And it’s also very subjective since LOTS of people think they are “too old to _____.” Fill in the blank… I’ve never seen snow in my entire life but if I’m 70 and feel healthy then I’m gonna make a snowman AND go sledding. If someone had said "this will make you look twenty" when I was sixteen, I would have been ALL over that! Heh. Apart from that comment, this is interesting and I think I'll try it. I've struggled with makeup because my already hooded eyes have gotten much more so (thanks, time and gravity). This seems a lot easier than trying to create a distinct cut crease. EDIT: Okay, I tried this. It's brilliant. It lifts the whole eye area and it's SO much easier than creating a cut crease, which I have always found fiddly, especially with how mobile the skin is around my eyes these days. This is just PERFECT.

This is such an understated, beautiful look!! (I’m 51.) I’ve been a big fan of color harmony for years. (Mostly because I’m not sure what colors I can safety pull off. 🤣 it’s work for me.) I love how you really take your time and really make sure we understand why it’s important to use a certain technique. Thanks so much!!💜

Will this be safe and be ok for my eyelashes? I love that you get in close and show everything.. I learned so much. So much more useful than blast in your face with light like so many influencers do.. You’re the real deal. Just love you

For those with hooded deepest eyes like myself , I suggest moving the outside corner upwards & go with a lighter towards inside corner cuz if not ur eye will sink further back
@headcasefiles3 жыл бұрын
And please, blend that outside corner, even just a *teeny-tiny* bit. That stencil edge is harsh-to a detrimentally distracting degree.

Thank you! I have super deep set eyes and have such a hard time with eyeshadows. @luxeyjames would you still you still use a lighter shade for the transition color?

This video is everything I needed! I'm 41 and about to begin a career in real estate. After 12 years as a stay-at-home mom, I very much appreciate your wonderful tutorials as I head back out into the world of grownups!

Kate I'm 60 an I still use highlighted and shimmers carefully. But not under the brow. Enjoy your weekend

I love shimmer and glitters. I am going to rock it until I am in my 90s if I am here that long.

@@melindagenitempo2359 Too much shimmer under the brow can look a little late 70s/early 80s but, hey, that’s also a look 😆x

Oh my, eyeshadow perfection! Thank you so much for sharing your talent with us Wayne Goss. I’ve been watching your incredible videos for awhile and learn something every time. I can’t wait to try this and then pop out to buy some milk 😄 You are truly a gifted artist and teacher.

Great tutorial, especially the tip for the stencil. I am 70 and personally find the lightest shade a bit too light for me, but i'm quite certain you'd say to dial it down a little in that case ! Thanks so much, your videos are the real deal, not pop~trash.

I'm in my 30s and I think this technique is so beautiful and elegant. Even just with my mirenesse primer and tight line mascara, it looks amazing. You have always been my favorite makeup educator, and never fail to inspire me. Thanks Wayne! 💖

Wayne, you’re genius as well as a delight to watch. No arguments there! But for me - late 50s, retired, rarely need to be fancied up - this routine is just too much. Can you demonstrate a scaled-down, daily, go-to-market version of a youthful eye? Maybe three steps with minimal tools? That would be a dream! Appreciate you greatly. 😌
@goodiegoodygumdrops3 жыл бұрын
Perhaps just the lashes and a light wash of a light color all over the lid?
@BringANickel3 жыл бұрын
Same! I’m applying the principles to my minimal makeup look. This eye routine is longer than my entire facial + makeup routine. 😆 Love Wayne’s tutorials and calm manner, though!

I love your tutorials. You have thought out these amazing truths about connecting the ENTIRE color Scheme, uplifting these areas with color & shading without a TON of product that makes your skin wrinkles & the face looking cakey or powdery (which enhances wrinkles). You are a Genius at your profession. Thank you for sharing. I value your techniques & opinion sir. YOU ARE AMAZING.
