Through my experience *250-500whp - RWD with proper diff.* *>500whp - AWD.* You don't need AWD on light cars with low HP. It's too heavy. However, when you get high in the power range then yes, AWD is a must.

yes whit this much power awd is sure the right way to go, but for the lap test the second lap should have counted. because in such a short lap the awd wins only by the acceletation in a standing start scenario... (making test 3 equal to test 1).
