That has amazing quality and engineering in it. The grill features are especially nice. One could cook outdoors all summer and keep the kitchen heat out of the house.

That thing is actually pretty cool and you know they were the party house if they had one of these in the '50s

Ended up here after I saw one on FB Marketplace and wanted to learn more about these. Seems like have a 50a 220v outlet installed would be pricey to have installed though, unless you just happen to have one already and I don't know of many people that do. I think $5k in today's money is probably on the low end, considering how expensive outdoor appliances can be. I imagine a modern version of this would have to have a cooler and an air fryer though

WOW! what a beautiful unit, thank you for sharing with us! That thing was built back when MFGs actually cared that their products lasted till the end of time! It'll probably last another 50 years!

Amazing you found one in such great condition. It's the appliance equivalent to Jay Leno finding a rare car stashed somewhere.

Lever=crank. Outlet=plug. So cool! Did they only come in turquoise because that is the only color I’ve ever seen these in.

So cool! I never knew anything like this existed. Really cool how the grill can be tilted and raised and lower to adjust the heat. Why can't companies be innovative and provide quality products like this today

They are a truly amazing piece of equipment. I own one and was fortunate enough to have the original umbrella and cover for the unit. It also came with the owners manual. I can’t find any signs of it ever being used.

That front panel light is the tops. Even if you never cook on it, the light is worth the price of admission. BTW, can you tell us what something like this set you back in 2024?

I got it from a friend for very cheap, with a bit of trading. If I had to guess the value, and it would vary wildly on condition, 3-9 thousand dollars.

I'm always shocked how manufacturers design stoves today more dangerous for kids or even dogs to jump up and turn on gas knobs
