Pretty sweet, makes me happy that it is 1000% easier to get to in the F30 lol. BMW was so kind to actually allow you to lift the trunk floor cover, that they actually made a clip to hold it up when you're working on it! That, and much easier/friendlier battery access haha. Great video guys!! Amazing how an AMP can make a world of a difference these days for otherwise factory systems.

Recently upgraded my X5 G05 with the amp and speakers and it sounds fantastic. The level of detail in the music is amazing, a worthy upgrade. Installation wasn't bad, was a bit apprehensive about taking the door panels off a brand new car but after the first one, I got the hang of it.

Tip for install. I removed the entire side panel in the trunk and put the trunk floor in while doing the work and tape cuts. I then crawled into my trunk to lay on my side with seats down. More comfortable than reaching inside. Probably not a good look for video. 😂. Fwiw.

Harmon Kardon option is a good sound system. Much better than the Bose I had in a 2020 Macan and B&O in my 2019 S4. I thought the Audis was the most disappointing.

Okay I tried to do it by myself.. I’m a chick but I actually inastalled an amp, head unit, and door speakers in my old 335xi. It’s a feat I’m particularly proud of. It was not something I’m used to tackling but I bought the car with speakers blown. Anyhow, I tried to do this by myself.. they made it look easy.. for for any chicks out there don’t try this by yourself. The interior carpet plastic piece can only come out to the seat lever.. it doesn’t provide much room easily.. if I were stronger I could have maybe bent it down but it was just too hard to reach by myself while holding the amp in one hand and locking the nuts in place.. I lacked a good light so I was just like FFFFFF. I called some friends to help and it will be done soon.. the weather stripping is stuck with glue so I felt bad that I removed the bottom of that out.

For a 1k amp they could have easily made it adjustable via bluetooth on a iOS or Android device. You shouldn't have to plug up a laptop to make changes. Because to state the obvious you need to be in the driver seat to fine tune the sound.

It’s just makes the stages hit.. all you’re doing is adding the kind of power the speakers need.. you’re not changing the tuning really unless you tweak it to.. which you can do.

1. Time alignment gives you better front staging and better left + right recognition. 2. Rear volume is lowered so it feels like music is coming more from front of you. This is ideal for good sound stage and to hear music like its meant to be. 3. Subs don't have stereo, as they shouldn't. 4. Yes this amplifier has time alignment, with the tune you load from the website it gives you general time alignment settings, probably not the most accurate though so you should do it yourself. 5. I don't get your question

Agreed. Bluetooth connection is really bad, especially through apple CarPlay(not sure if it connects Wi-Fi or Bluetooth) I always have mine plugged in and it sounds great, not super loud, but really good.

So the HiFi amp is the same as the G20 and you can use the BimmerTech Premium amp upgrade but the bracketing is different and you’ll have to make a custom bracket to mount it. Just pulled my two amps outta my F30 and my Audison Bit Ten. Not really that hard. Upgraded all speakers to 5 1/4" from the shitty 4" stocks. Left those in the car and keep the ghost woofers working the whole time for full bass support in the cabin with dual 10" Skar's running at 1ohm in the trunk.

The hifi system comes with like 350 watts.. with the new amp you get 1425 watts with another in/out wire that plugs into the non OEM amp installed. I’m powering 2 10s with 600watts plus all the car speakers.. it’s amazing

I have HK in my 2020 M5 and it doesn't sound that great. I measured 85db peak and that's weak to me. Distortion at the top means amp can't push enough power. 600W? I don't know about that. Maybe 6 or 8 ohm speakers. Anyway, will this plug and play with my buggy and give me more power?

It is surely much much louder than 85db, or you got something wrong with your M5. Distortion doesn't mean lack of power from amplifier. Amplifier/soirce is distorting probably. Your underseat subwoofers are 4ohms and rest of the speakers are 4ohm aswell. This amplifier is not plug & play to yours unfortunately.

I bought a 2020 740i last march and was disappointed with the audio system especially because one of the options it has is the "premium" 16 speaker harmon kardon system. My 2006 jeep commander has a factory optioned boston acoustics system that blows this out of the water, and even the stock base stereo system on my 9 YEAR OLD chevy truck has more bass than the bmw even with the bass at max, very disappointed
