LSD2 is a fantastic movie - it is a tremendous social satire where every frame is a very clear reminder of how social media, if one lets it, would put everything about one's identity for sale. This includes aspects that are intensely personal - all three stories in LSD2 indicate the same. It is an absolute banger of a film and I will defend it always, in spite of being a minority and on Abbas's side.

Yeah I really like LSD 2 as well. It's so weird none of them liked it. Yeah the ending was a bit out there, and can have mixed responses. But the rest of the movie was quite amazing man.

The last time I was actually excited about an Indian awards show was when the Filmfare awards aired in 2008 (awarding the films made in 2007). Shah Rukh and Saif were hosting the show, and I was rooting for Kareena for best actress (Jab We Met) and Shah Rukh for best actor (Chak De India). It’s sad to think about how much the quality of Hindi cinema and awards shows has deteriorated since then.

LSD2 was really great, IMHO. People get really hung up on the last story about the gaming live streamer, which has an abstract ending, I agree, but the movie also has two other great stories with some great performances.

I think whether or not you watch a movie in a theatre does affect how much you liked it. I saw Bhool Bhulaiya 3 in a theatre and honestly I enjoyed it. Except for the running track with Rajpal Yadav et al which just sucked. But otherwise the movie kept me hooked. And I saw Stree 2 on OTT and man hated it soooooo much. It was so so bad. The jokes were 🤢🤢

Bhai shayhil and his flatmate, just one suggestion please watch LSD 2 after 10 years maybe then it might affect you as it should, Abbas also attends the Mami film festival as do I, if you haven't got it yet, it's fine, don't tear it apart without it completely hitting you, even No Smoking was before it's time... Dibakar Banerjee has left his legacy through this film, it is mind-blowing. So please next time try to be humble enough that I didn't get it yet what this master storyteller - Dibakar Banerjee was doing with the form of film, Antariksh I recommend you to watch it for yourself and judge it for what it is...peace out, cheers

Hey buddy, it’s fine to not like a film yaa. Every film is not meant for everybody. It’s completely okay for us to not like it and for Abbas to do. I also attend MAMI and so does my flatmate. He is an entertainment journalist and that too a reputed one in the industry. Anyway, as far as the bhaang comment is concerned, I can comment on Abbas because he knows I don’t mean it in any disrespecting way and it is all in light humor. I love No Smoking, am a fan of his film in the Ghost Stories Anthology and a bunch of other films that he’s made. I know what a master story teller he is and none of it can be taken away from him if I or anybody in the world calls one of his films bad or maybe, just not meant for them. We obviously exaggerate opinions, likes and dislikes on the podcast to add a humor element to it. None of which should be taken as an insult (we also say it in the episode). It is completely fine for you to not agree with us. I just wanted to let you know that it is completely okay for us to not like the film as well. Maybe 10 years down the line we like it…or maybe not even then. But that’s a conversation for 10 years later. Thanks for tuning in. Cheers 🙌🏻
