Your mission is to make an update to this every year! I love a good kit, whatever it's for, but the bag always turns out to be the biggest challenge! I've been doing mobile reporting kits for about 15 years and it's always fun to share them.

So timely going into the cold months. I live on the U.S. east coast and this time of year I add hot cocoa and Lipton Cup-a-Soup packets to my car kit. My year-round car (SUV) kit includes a Firebox, kettle, titanium mugs and utensils. In a $19 (was $16 until recently) Bucket Boss (brand) jumper cable bag I have a Firebox skillet, cowboy plates (deep and shallow), etc, holds quite a lot.

Andy, I like this. Are we all "tackle tarts"? I've been using a small Peli case for the last 10+ years and the only thing that wasn't in it was the water. This stayed in the car and went literally everywhere. very handy when you work round the clock in the middle of nowhere and followed us to every beach visit and camp, (1000's). Had the Jetboil original till earlier this year when it started to fail. Bought a new one and now transferred all the "brew kit" into a chest / shoulder bag from Mountain Warehouse. The Peli case was always just a little too big, but very robust. My brew kit has similar contents as yours but is for 4 people. With regards to the metal straw put one back in there as that can be used as you fire straw / bellows.

Your Brew Kit is brilliant. I recently put together my own brew kit for such travels. Everything you carry in yours I incorporated in my own plus a few small extras. For the bag I bought the KVD SIGNATURE SERIES TACKLE BAG purchased from TACKLE WAREHOUSE. It, too, has pouches (4 of them) plus the larger inside area. Weather resistant and has a hard bottom with small leg caps to keep it off the ground slightly. The top is hardwired, perfect for use with a cutting board or as a gentle small table. Having such an organized brew kit is splendid and really makes brew-ups on the go much easier than before. Because mine is a good bit larger, it also can serve as a snack or picnic tote. After seeing yours, I might make a second one ... just for brew-ups like you have yours set up! You have a brilliant one going for you there 👏 👍, small and functional indeed!

So what you've assembled here is a chuck box. Especially if you want to include a frying pan, that means you'll also have to include a couple of cooking utensils as well. Or you can probably get away with using your eating utensils. Nice! Yours is perfect for your size, I have to make wine slightly bigger because I don't know if I'm going camping with my friends or my family.

Nice one Andy. I have several bits of kit by NGT including two of the original bivvi tables with the non extending legs (like Simon's!). All their bags and pouches are excellent quality and pretty good value. I got my stuff at Go Outdoors....pity they closed my local branch down after only a handful of years! I have also made up a couple of kits for different applications including a truck kit. Many times used on long journeys or occasionally having found major delays on a motorway....get off at the services or next available exit and brew up on the tailgate! Nice kit you put together.

I have a brew kit. Though I use a twig/charcoal burner for mine. I love to sit out wherever and have a cuppa. I am horrible though, I do either coffee or tea in mine and half the time I am out on the patio with it instead of camping.

One other item from the fishing world, is a neoprene cover for your gas canister, for your winter brews. Found it to be very effective. Like the bag, but very expensive. However it is the Ultimate brew kit. 😃 If you have no friends and only want a cuppa, NGT do a bag for about £20 which is quite good. 👍👍

The bivvy table unzipping sold me!!! I ordered 2 bivvy table from UK. A couple years ago...I'm in USA FLORIDA. my husband threw them away when I was gone....said they were useless.....actually he is the useless bit of kit...awesome kit!! Watch that stove when you fold the legs...mine had "bitten" my clumsy fingers a few times...lol

Was an interesting video, the screen I have as part of a twig stove bundle for my Titan Solo Stove set that came with a tripod and hanging pot... the bag table combination was something that might tempt me. I never got into the dedicated gas burners much, but I am not a serious hiker in anyone's imagination... but the idea of a brew kit for my vehicle is a GoSun Brew, a Goal Zero 1000x power station, and 400 watts I solar panels, I have also used the power station to recharge the truck battery when it wouldn't quite start. The power station stays in the truck anyway so just packing the other parts in some kind of organized way would be the part to think on. Instead of the Brew... a NuWave Flex induction cooker and compatible tea kettle and a pan or two would extent beyond just brewing tools... a bit of a rabbit hole on what to pack and how.

You encountered the same problem as I when unfolding the gas hose. Realised later that first it is better to unfold the legs outwards before extending them, then the hose will be released without damage to the stainless steel weaving on it.

Ngt make good stuff, I've got a few bits of theirs. A pvc bucket, a cool bag, a huge carryall, another large carryall, a smaller carryall and their Fortress XL bivvy which so far has endured 50mph gusts over the last few days and hasn't budged. I fitted a wood burner in the bivvy too so it's the ultimate hot tent. Fishing gear is more often than not made a lot better than camping gear. It's made to be used!
@scottengh11752 жыл бұрын
Add the thin skillet. Then maybe a small tarp in case it's raining, 4 to 5 tent stakes, some line, maybe a small chair... Nice kettle, have seen on Amazon. UK has some really cool kettles I have seen on KZbin.

Cool video! I'm in process of putting together a coffee kit as well. Looking for bag ideas so this was a timely video 👍 I want to be able to take it with me on rides in my side by side. Be able to pull off the trail and brew up some coffee and other hot drinks. Maybe even cook some quick meals. So far have the Stanley Boil & Brew, Trangia 25 with gas burner, Firemaple X2 and a bunch of other "kit". Testing here at home for the ideal setup. Thanks again for the video, that bag is sweet!

You make a odd cuppa, you should fill the cup nine tenths with boiling water & brew for about 3 & a half minutes minimum, make a little powder skim milk & add when brewed, that's a champion cup of tea.
