In this video I unbox and talk about the new 17x17x17 from Yuxin. This is currently the largest mass produced Rubik's cube at 17 layers!
For those curious I paid $750 for this cube + express shipping so I could make this video in time for Christmas!

You can't checkerboard an 8x8 because it has even numbered sides. 7x7 and 9x9 are possible.

The only really difficult thing about it is just how long it takes. Moving the centres and edges is essentially the same, but on a larger scale. Correct me if I’m wrong.

I really like how the colors are easy to distinguish such as the white and yellow are much better than the previous Yuxin color scheme with pink and orange instead of the red and orange.

love the puzzle! when i get my first job im definitely saving up for it! And i for one think the price is high in a twisty puzzle sense but not a higher order cube sense, i mean from a makers point of view it has over 100 different injection molded piece types and something like 2200 pieces to assemble so the price is all in all pretty fair
