I actually do think UGB is a way better counter who has gotten a better glowup cuz of Ultra Gohan, mostly because of their typings and that Gohan is blast oriented just like his blue

Gohan counters his blue and has immunity to card destruction... if UGB has anything against Gohan, it's the endurance nullification. Both Son Fam core and Hybrids doesn't have Buff canceling (unless I forgot) Also UI Goku can catch him once on the son Fam core and you won't be able to save your UGB, you would need better countermeasures against Gohan.

If you think about it, there are a lot of broken combinations aside from just the basic three meta units together, for example UUI, Evoken and Birdhan make a good combo because UUI gives green cards to Evoken, and Evoken can protect Birdhan from purples without sharing the same red weakness as UUI, instead being to blues that Birdhan also counters

Every since the very 1st sp Jiren in 2020, they added one a yr, with ex in 2021, lf full power in 2022, and the power up yel one in 2023, for 2024 it's time for his one new unit an I'm pretty sure it'll be ultra rarity considering he has each rarity except that one. Also if UI goku got one last yr ofc his rival would get one.

I’ve been using Hell Fighter 17 instead since my Jiren is only 3 stars. He’s solid too, having a ranged blue that kills green and blue cards and anti endurance on the green with a lock-in on main, but I agree Jiren is better.

It is a comforting thought to think there's a good purple unit to handle Gohan But sadly there's the big yellow shadow of Ultra UI looming behind Gohan that kinda makes that thought a hard thought to keep to Until UI Goku falls out of rhe Meta, or perhaps a stronger red unit emerges who really halts UI, purple units are gonna have to simply endure him and do their best to destroy Gohan

I've been using a variation of this team with uni rep. golden freeza and evoken since that banner. ( shafted on Ul Ui and mvp 17 ofc ). And yeah... even more reason for it. Wish I had mvp 17 atleast but you know what... golden freeza aint half bad. Vanish restore on main, cover null on second card, 2 potential ults with paralasys and easy acces to green cards for the entire team, strike cover change, heals quite a bit. Overlooked due to UI existing but a hell of a second option. MVP 17 still hard to replace... over a year later. Even though I dont have a aingle copy I like that. Some lf's die off way to fast.

One purple i use against him is Purple Sparking SSJ4 Goku. Pretty good defense, great attack power, and his ultimate nullifies endurance, tho it dosent heal him all that much.

I suggest running jiren with super 17 and self destruct cell on powerful opponents/androids with jiren leader slot so that cell gets zenkai buffed by jiren and super 17 to counter any uui/yellow that counters jiren and his green card to absorb gohans blue and gohan is blast based as well so that helps

Yeeeaaaah...I've seen my luck become dogshit aswell especially with the fest situation, I put all my resources on evoken mvp 17 and jiren and now I do have this setup but beast outaged evoken Goku Bardock turned out to be amazing even though everyone said they'd be bad and everyone was expecting UG4 not ultra omen who literally replaced EvoKen on reps and also ahnihilated jiren, uui uni reps greatest ally and enemy at the same time, also crystals I can't get any nor save in 2024 I had 10k saved up in a month but then everyone was like summon on super 17 I didn't get him and now this gohan+ uui = your enemy isn't allowed to have fun

For the people coping UGB usage, the reason why Jiren is better is because 17 makes him stupid tanky, UGB has no unit that can do that and gets ass blasted with one blast card. UGB just doesn't have the bulk to tank and that's why he isn't the best in current meta.
