Do you guys enjoy Mead on any of your rides? Zip tie cages to the fork front and rear ya got old hand grips cut em put em on so u dont mess up the paint job... BPA bottles or stainless steel hot and cold... smart putn patch where the hole was... when most times i scrape the inside with a washer to break off any thorn tips... debris... i just go tubes and patch... old school rules... We've just finished a cycle tour which went through France, but we couldn't find the Nantes-Brest canal without getting onto main roads. So we ended up going to Angers and following the Loire. But I know what you mean about cycling along canals, so relaxing. I love how light you guys are.

Superglue dries rigid which doesn't make it the best repair option for inner tubes as it will eventually break under movement. Imho you would be better far better off using a rubber glue, or duct tape to apply a tyre boot. I typically use the flexible mouldable glue 'Sugru' to hold tyre boots in place, you can even repair missing tyre tread with it. (It's like blue-tac on steroids) and small enough to take on every adventure.

An old piece of lightweight racing tire (e.g. conti go 4000) with bead cut out makes and excellent tire boot. For very large holes like the one shown here, place transversally (so that you ride up the flared edge of the patch) and glue in place with rubber cement or two faced tape. The inside of the patch should face the inside of the tire so that the tube will be well protected from the hole, by the thickness of the patch at its center.

Ah Bummer, not cool of me and not cycling related: the music from 1:30 onwards is the bomb! Now I'll rewind and concentrate on cycling content 🙂 Haha, I'm such a "random stopper / freewheeler" always taking pictures, just taking in the surroundings, braking heavily for the best shot... My average is always way down ... Friends complain I should pay attention to my average speed etc.. When I concentrate I'm not even that bad, but I hardly ever do 🙂 Love this video, great surroundings!

good vid Juliet , i just spent ten days in the same area lovely coast, just a word of warning to all cyclists coming to france with bikes on the back of cars since brexit if customs in france want to apply the law ( not often applied ) a customs book ( carnet ) is needed to temporarely import bikes or motorbikes not being used to entry the country ie ridden , they can apply duty to enter , please check before coming here. This is the downside of brexit, this would also apply to belguim, holland, etc.

Idk which sealant you use. The new version of the Stans Race sealant has some sort of crystals in it to aid the sealing. Actually sounds just like grit in the tyre when spinning slowly. Not sure if they're so hard to puncture a tube but never thought about that, have to test.

Juiliet, being able to access them on Strava requires a paid membership (after a free trial expires). I therefore don't have Strava yet am a keen cyclist. Given how much effort that has already gone into creating the video, it just seemed a small ask to make the KZbin content self contained.
