Paul Larsen Yes. You can see the map by pressing the TAB key. As you are exploring the map you'll be able to see more details, like halls, rooms, etc. In some maps you'll find an item called "Computer area map". If you pick it up you'll see all the details although you haven't explored the map yet (in gray color).

You actually missed a secret even thought it says 100%,on the first level there is a button behind the right pillar in the armor room,hit that then go outside and hit the action button on the base wall and you will find a secret level.

Oh yeah! You're right. When I made this video I only considered a secret when the phrase "A secret is revealed" appeared. There are some hidden places in other maps besides the one in the first map, but they aren't considered strictly a secret in the map I don't know why, they should be considerated as secrets. +MyCaptainX it isn't counted as a secret because it just links with the first secret you found. You can go either way first and it will count as you getting the secret.

Yeh, I'd have prefered to see every secret whether it technically counts to the map score or not, but I appreciate the video anyway. I enjoyed the self-congratulations after ever map. My favourite was "well done!" :P

That secret level is only in the original Xbox version of the Ultimate Doom. It is set as E1M10 and called Sewers.

is this a fake? i hit action button every single fckng piece of wall in that courtyard (also on outside wall which don't belong to the base), but nothing at all opens, there's no fcking secret exit, there's simply nothing!

To those watching, secrets 2 and 3 of the very first area seem to happen simultaneously. One is an entrance that is revealed from the platform dropping. The other trickier one is a room that is opened for a few seconds when triggered by entering the zigzag from from the opposite end from it. If you look closely while in play (although not clear in the vid), you can barely see a black opening appear on the other side on entering the zigzag room.

By the way, sometimes 'no monsters' option isn't good, 'cause in some maps you can't go to next map if you don't kill the monsters. For example, in Doom or The Ultimate Doom try to complete any last map from any episode with no monsters (E1M8, E2M8, E3M8 or E4M8). In Doom II try to complete map 07 with no monsters (you'll reach the exit switch jumping or using 'noclip').

That one secret in knee deep doesn’t pop up in my game even though I pull the map up and it shows a highlight where a doorway should be. I’m talking about the room to the left past the acid room. At the end of that hallway, there’s nothing, no indentation in the wall but shows a highlight on the map there

I had to rewind a few times, that went a bit too fast. However, it was extremely helpful. Even when 'noclip' was on and was exploring outside the boundaries, I still had no clue how those secrets activated. lol

Yeah, it usually happens when you're looking for the secrets for the first time. Imagine my face when I was looking for the secrets on the last episode; some of them cannot be revealed without no-clipping mode, so when I found a secret that I didn't expect to find I used to say 'Holy sh*t! How the ***** did I do that?!' Now I suppose they can be some kind of glitches.

Let me see if I understood. Do you mean how to play doom without monsters? Easy! It works on Doom Legacy, ZDoom or GZDoom. Go to your main menu and select 'options'. After that go to 'gameplay options'. There are many options to make your game easily or more difficult. Search the 'no monsters' one, active it (until it says 'yes') before playing any map and boom! You'll play any doom map with no monsters! xD

Actually, not. I used the cheat NOCLIP in 10:36 to make the walkthrough faster. This trap will open after a time. I used it again in 15:37 because I forgot to turn on the monsters at that time. You can't finish this map if you don't kill the barons of hell (they are the bosses in this map) unless you cheat. A little mistake on my part. I'm sorry for that.

Strictly, using the console is a way to do cheat because you're changing the game configuration to get some advantages. For example, I've seen some players who used it to resurrect after a monster had killed them.

jeaness1 If you have ZDoom or GZDoom drag the shit.wad on ZDoom or GZDoom icon, after that, select a game you want to play... When you pick up the chainsaw, it will be replaced by the recorder. You'll be able kill monsters through walls or doors. Be careful, don't use it if you are so close of the barrels. They might explode and you might suffer a big damage or die.
