I have this, and we love it. We use it both as a tailgate awning on my VW T5 ( when daughter and grandkids come, and then we use it as a bedroom, and use my Vango Noosa where the sliding door is). However increasingly we use it instead of the Noosa ( and always if I’m on my own) as it’s so much easier to put up, ( the Noosa is poled ) and is light enough for me to manage on my own . It gives a really good space too, and having all the doors and side zips makes it very versatile. I just wish I could get a porch for it.

Its not blackout by any measure - the only failing of the awning is the amount of light it lets through. Would have been nice to sleep in the vehicle with the door open for airflow but the awning lets in way too much light unfortunately. That apart, it fits great on the back of my Skoda Yeti (I sleep on a platform in the back) and gives me really decent and adaptable living space.

Any update on when those rear hinged panels will be available? Yours might be the most elegant version of this mod that I’ve seen. My only concern would be where it rubs against the bodywork when open.
