Recommendation for next comparison video: snake the club shot order with 5 shots each. It's not very surprising that the club you hit last felt the best. When I go to the range my best shots are almost always the last ones I hit. Averaging out the data between the first 5 and last 5 should help the Gen 5 out a bit.

This is the exact dilemma I'm dealing with. Great video. I have a fitting next week for the G425 vs the PXG Gen5...and the Paradym. The ROI from the Ping and PXG with an upgraded shaft pretty much rule out any 2023 head. I tip my cap to you guys.

I believe that you really can't determine which is better for you until you test them on a golf course, simulator are fun and give numbers but big difference when playing on a golf course.

I tried Stealth, Cobra LTDX and Sim 2 Max and none of them compare to PXG!!!

So I don’t like the offline number. It seems to be treating left/right as positive/negative numbers which means a 50 yard left miss is offset by a 50 yard block right. I’d like to treat those as absolute values and see the average yards offline to either side… I.e. how much does it spray

Okay, I punched in numbers (I did omit a couple of less than stellar shots so the numbers might be a tiny bit different, but not much. For Tate the average distance offline was: 22.2yds with PXG, 32.8 for TM, and 32.9 for Ping. For Trevor it was 23.9 for PXG, 10.5 for TM, and 14.9 for Ping.

For the test to mean anything, there needs to be robotic testing with the same shaft in all 3 drivers. They're testing what would be best for them in this video.

Why would a robot help anyone know which driver to chose? Nobody’s swing is perfect like a robots would be, so you need to know which driver reacts best to real life swings. Thanks for watching Bart 👍

A robot will give you the raw data on distance, while a player skill or non skill will determine forgiveness. Yes, I do agree if someone is buying a new driver, especially one at $600+, they definitely should demo it first. Robotic testing can give good information on different club head/shaft combinations.

You are no where close to optimized on your numbers. You need more loft and less spin on each of the clubs. The carry on the Ping came from the launch angle, but the spin was way too high. I think you could easily make any of these perform, but I would be interested to see the smash factor on these as well. Good content, but I would love to do some tweaks with your setups, and I bet we could make it just come down to which head feels the best and looks the best for you!

I agree. Specifically on Trevor’s driver he’s too outside in. So instead of trying to tweak a club right now he started lessons over the winter to try to fix that first, before we start club tweaking. That’s the point of our channel, is what kinda works with an imperfect swing. And I agree we will start talking about smash factor
